I am a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. My philosophy is an integrative approach in treating the whole person -- including the biological, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual factors. I emphasize education so you feel empowered and understand why medication may be necessary, what the medication is, and why you are taking it. While medications are an important part of treatment, they are often times not the long-term solution. We can carefully weigh the potential benefits and risks to find the best option for you. Paroma Mitra MD MPH has completed her adult Psychiatry training at Harlem Hospital Center, Columbia University Medical Center. She also trained at NYU Langone School of Medicine in Geriatric Psychiatry and Public Sector Psychiatry. She is board certified in both Adult and Geriatric Psychiatry. She has numerous awards in teaching and training and has presented her work in clinical research both nationally and internationally.

Dr. Mitra does not believe that one treatment fits all. She believes in a compassionate approach and strongly emphasizes on holistic well being. She works on both medications using a therapeutic person-centered approach with care. Her understanding of Eastern philosophy and well being is a part of how she views every person's concerns. Guang Yan Yao, PA-C, is a physician assistant at blueprintMD in Valley Stream, Massapequa, and Melville, New York. He has nearly 10 years of clinical experience and is passionate about combining technology and health care to give his patients enhanced experiences and support them on their journey to better health.

Guang earned his Bachelor of Science in business management from Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York. He earned his physician assistant degree from the City University of New York (CUNY) School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program.

After graduating, Guang gained clinical experience as a pediatric, adult, and urgent care physician assistant. He strives to streamline back-office procedures to improve continuity of care for patients.

Evan Donin is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and the founder of Sunshine Mental Wellness Associates Inc. With a background that uniquely bridges business and healthcare, Evan brings a thoughtful, patient-centered approach to psychiatric care that emphasizes compassion, collaboration, and evidence-based treatment.

Originally beginning his professional career in the business world, Evan made a deliberate and values-driven decision to change paths at age 28, pursuing a career in mental health in order to provide meaningful, high-quality care to individuals navigating complex emotional and psychological challenges. He began his clinical journey as a psychiatric registered nurse at Sagamore Children’s Psychiatric Center in New York, where he gained foundational experience working with youth in acute psychiatric settings. He later advanced to a psychiatric RN role at Zucker Hillside Hospital (Northwell Health), one of the region’s leading psychiatric facilities, where he worked in high-acuity, fast-paced inpatient environments.

Evan earned his Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in psychiatric mental health from Adelphi University, graduating in December 2021. He became nationally board certified as a PMHNP-BC in March 2022 and subsequently obtained licensure as a nurse practitioner in both New York and Florida.

As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, Evan has worked in busy outpatient psychiatric practices and in remote treatment settings serving individuals impacted by workplace injuries, motor vehicle accidents, apartment fires, and sexual assault. This work deepened his commitment to trauma-informed care and reinforced the importance of treating each patient within the full context of their lived experience.

In February 2025, Evan founded Sunshine Mental Wellness Associates Inc., and since late November 2025 he has dedicated himself exclusively to private practice. After earning her Doctor of Medicine at St. John’s Medical College in Bangalore, India, Dr. Jayaram worked for several years as a physician in India before relocating to the United States. She then completed her psychiatry and neurology residency at the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.

I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s from Grand Canyon University. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My approach is rooted in a person-centered and evidence-based framework. I utilize various therapeutic approaches, including Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Crisis Intervention, Trauma Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).  

I have experience providing individual counseling services to adolescents ages 12–18 and adults, supporting clients as they navigate trauma, grief, and emotional challenges. I have also worked with families experiencing divorce and adjusting to blended family dynamics. I support family members in creating healthy ways to cope, building connections, and improving communication.

William is a Licensed Professional Counselor -Associate, he brings several years of knowledge and experience to the HHS team. He has worked for almost a decade providing mental health services for adolescents and adults. He holds a Bachelor’s degree, Summa Cum Laude, in psychology, with concentration in clinical counseling. He also has a Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from Albertus Magnus College. Presently, he is a doctoral candidate for Forensic Psychology at Walden University.

William provides group, couples, family, and individual therapy to children, teens, and adults at HHS. William’s focus is helping and transforming clients who have anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, SUD, and addiction based disorders. He is passionate about helping and working with clients within the LGBTQ+ community.

Apart from his clinical experience, William had done research work on ADHD, psycho-somatic disorders and eating disorders. He has led several research teams at the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Association for Psychological Science (APS), while at Fielding University. William is adept at helping clients dealing with several kinds of mental health challenges, including mood, behavioral, and personality issues, as well as substance abuse.
