Lina Wilches-Karrat is a bilingual (English/Spanish) psychiatric nurse practitioner with over 19 years of experience in the nursing field. She completed her advanced psychiatric training at Walden University, with a strong clinical focus on mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, and child and adolescent mental health. Lina offers care to individuals across the lifespan—children, teens, and adults—through a compassionate, open-minded, and collaborative approach.

Her sessions center around medication management, but Lina integrates elements of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and behavioral techniques into her visits to support the whole person. Dr. Humberto Caro received his B.A. in Biology at the University of Puerto Rico, San Juan and then attended medical school at Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. From there, he went on to complete a residency in psychiatry at Drexel University College of Medicine and at Ponce Health Sciences University in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Following his residency, Dr. Caro completed a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Ponce Health Sciences University. He joined My Psychiatrist in July of 2017.

Dr. Micic specializes in neurology and pediatric neurology. She earned her medical degree from the University of Nis Faculty of Medicine, serving multiple locations across NY. Dr. Micic completed an internship at Clinical Center Nis in Serbia after obtaining her medical degree. Dr. van Riel’s staff responds to appointments requests tipically within 2 hours of the appointment time. If a patient calls for a consultation and wishes to schedule an appointment, one of her staff members will obtain patient's information through a brief questionaire after the appointment is confirmed. In most cases, she evaluates the patient for 60 minutes in person, or virtually at the time of the initial psychiatric evaluation, and offers 30 minute follow up appointments for all her stablished patients.
