I'm a Licensed Master Social Worker. I've worked with the vulnerable and underserved population for over 14 years; clients who have suffered from severe and persistent mental illnesses. Therapy can sometimes take us to uncomfortable places, but I've learned that wonderfulthings can happen outside of our comfort zone. I believe in the idea of mindfulness and handling ourselves/others with grace. I work collaboratively with my clients, by utilizing their strengths to help stimulate change and progress. I have utilized a variety of methods; including CBT, MI, DBT, psychodynamic theory, and strength-based perspective to assist my clients with their daily life struggles. I believe that relational trauma can be healed within the context of a therapeutic relationship. I also take a psychoanalytic approach to help clients who are suffering from anxiety, depression, PTSD, and suicidality.
