Vignesh Ramachandran, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist and fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology who treats adults and children in full-spectrum general, medical, and cosmetic dermatology conditions affecting the skin, hair and nails. When he was a child, he and his family immigrated to a small town of 16,000 in Ontario, Canada before his educational journey brought him to the United States. Dr. Ramachandran still maintains those small town values, merging relentless hard work with compassion, honesty and humility to care for his patients and community.
Dr. Ramachandran graduated as a Presidential Scholar from the Dean’s Scholars Honors Program at the University of Texas at Austin. He then graduated #1 in his medical school class at the top-ranked Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where he was inducted into the prestigious Gold Humanism and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Societies. He went on to complete his internship in Internal Medicine at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, where he was awarded Outstanding Intern of the Year. Dr. Ramachandran then completed his dermatology residency at the world-renowned Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology at New York University. By the end of his three years of residency, he was nationally recognized as a 3-time 'Rising Derm Star’, was an investigator in several clinical trials, published 100 peer-reviewed research papers, and served on national dermatology committees. He culminated his residency training with the Irwin M. Freedberg, M.D. Award for the resident who has done the most to advance Dermatology in the ‘House of Medicine’.

Lisa M. Gruson, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist and part of the medical team at the Skin Institute of New York (SINY®). Dr. Gruson practices medical and cosmetic dermatology and performs laser procedures at SINY’s® three offices, one in the West Village area of New York City and the others in the Bay Ridge and Park Slope areas of Brooklyn, New York.

Ronald R. Brancaccio, MD, founded the Skin Institute of New York (SINY®) in 1979. He diagnoses and treats a wide variety of skin conditions at SINY’s® three offices in the West Village of New York City and the Bay Ridge and Park Slope areas of Brooklyn, New York.
After earning his medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C., Dr. Brancaccio completed an internship at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. He then completed his residency in dermatology at the University of Oregon Health Sciences Center in Portland, Oregon.
Dr. Brancaccio is board-certified in dermatology, and he is a clinical professor at New York University School of Medicine in New York City. When he’s not tending to patients at SINY® or teaching future dermatologists, he lectures on dermatology-related topics and has authored more than 40 scholarly publications, primarily on the subject of skin allergies.
Currently serving on the board of directors of the American Contact Dermatitis Society and the New York State Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, Dr. Brancaccio has also served as president of the New York Dermatologic Society, the Bay Ridge Medical Society, and the Dermatologic Society of Greater New York, He maintains active memberships in those professional organizations as well as the American Academy of Dermatology and the Annenberg Circle Committee for the Dermatology Foundation, which supports vital dermatology research. Dr. Ezra Hazan is a board certified dermatologist and fellowship trained Mohs surgeon. He graduated with honors from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Hazan went on to do an internship in internal medicine at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. He then completed his dermatology residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and cosmetic dermatology at Mount Sinai Hospital. There he gained extensive knowledge and experience in procedural dermatology, including surgery of the skin as well as advanced cosmetic procedures like injectables, lasers and light based technologies.

Joanna Trigg DO is a Board Certified Dermatologist who treats both adult and pediatric patients. She is a native New Yorker who grew up in Brooklyn and attended Bishop Kearney High School. After graduating summa cum laude and earning a bachelor’s degree in biology with minors in chemistry and psychology from Wagner College, Dr. Trigg received her medical degree from NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, NY. She then completed her residency at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Queens, New York in affiliation with Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.
During her residency, Dr. Trigg attended, presented and lectured at many conferences. She also served as Chief Dermatology resident during the final year. Training in New York City gave her exposure to a very large and diverse patient population.
Dr. Trigg is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American College of Osteopathic Medicine. and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and enjoys medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, with her expertise in acne, rosacea and skin cancer screenings. Theresa Durchhalter, DO, is a board-certified dermatologist serving patients at Allure Dermatology in Hicksville, New York. She specializes in general and cosmetic dermatology and has experience treating adult and pediatric patients with a wide array of skin disorders, including acne, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, alopecia, and skin cancers.
Dr. Durchhalter is a native of Long Island, New York, with a long-standing commitment to her community. She graduated Magna cum Laude from Adelphi University in Garden City, New York, with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry.
In 2016, Dr. Durchhalter obtained her medical degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia, where she graduated as a member of the Sigma Sigma Phi honors fraternity. Upon completion, she returned to New York to complete her dermatology residency at St. John’s Episcopal, where she was appointed chief resident.

Dr. Eckman established his private practice in 2001 and opened the Towson Dermatology & Cosmetic Center in 2006 to provide innovative and comprehensive dermatologic and skin care to his patients. Dr. Eckman's expertise includes the detection and management of skin cancer and the treatment of skin disorders in both pediatric and adult patients. Dr. Eckman has participated in skin cancer screenings for the Baltimore Orioles in combination with the American Academy of Dermatology Play it Safe in the Sun program and has been a sought after speaker on the topic of skin cancer detection and prevention. Dr. Eckman has recently relocated to Long Island and has established his new practice in Rockville Centre, NY. Michael Tassavor, MD, MS, is a board-certified dermatologist and attending physician at MDCS: Medical Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery withoffices in the Midtown East and Upper East Side neighborhoods of New York City, as well as Smithtown, Commack, Hampton Bays, and Plainview, New York, and Clifton, Marlboro, and Englewood, New Jersey.
Dr. Tassavor provides medical and cosmetic dermatology care and performs highly specialized Mohs surgery to treat skin cancer.
After earning his Bachelor of Science in molecular and cell biology at the University of Connecticut (UConn) in Storrs, Connecticut, Dr. Tassavor completed a Master of Science in biomedical sciences at Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts.
He continued his schooling at the UConn School of Medicine in Farmington, Connecticut, earning his Doctor of Medicine. He completed a one-year medical internship at Tufts Medical Center in Boston before relocating to New York City for his dermatology residency at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
Then, Dr. Tassavor completed his micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology fellowship training with Brett Coldiron, MD, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Dr. Tassavor is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), a resident member of the New York State Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery (NYSSDDS), and on the coding and reimbursement committee of the AAD.

Marisa Garshick, MD, FAAD is a leading board-certified dermatologist serving patients throughout Manhattan, New York and Englewood, NJ at MDCS Dermatology: Medical Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery, as well as an assistant clinical professor of dermatology at Cornell - New York Presbyterian Medical Center. Dr. Garshick provides a wide variety of cosmetic and medical procedures and services including treatments for acne, eczema, hyperhidrosis, moles, psoriasis, rosacea, signs of aging, skin cancer, skin tags, vitiligo, and wrinkles.
She completed her undergraduate education at Emory University and attended medical school at Tufts University School of Medicine, where she graduated with Research Honors and Alpha Omega Alpha. As a medical student, Dr. Garshick was awarded the prestigious Doris Duke Clinical Research Fellowship at Harvard Medical School, during which she performed dermatology clinical trials and research at Massachusetts General Hospital. She completed her dermatology residency at Cornell’s New York Presbyterian Hospital, where she served as Chief Resident in Dermatology. Dr. Garshick has numerous publications in scientific journals and book chapters, including a chapter on the treatment of acne, and has presented at national meetings. She specializes in general medical dermatology, including adults and pediatrics, and cosmetic dermatology, including neurotoxins, fillers, chemical peels, and lasers. Dr. Garshick is also involved in teaching the dermatology residents at Cornell, leading discussions reviewing the latest dermatology literature. Dr. Sheena Desai is a board-certified dermatologist with expertise in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She received her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine and completed her dermatology residency at Northwell Health, where she served as Cosmetic Chief Resident. In addition to her MD, Dr. Desai holds an MBA from the Heller School at Brandeis University, providing her with a unique understanding of both patient care and healthcare systems.
Dr. Desai has authored numerous publications in leading dermatology journals and has presented nationally on topics including skin cancer prevention, autoimmune skin conditions, and healthcare policy. Her clinical interests include acne, rosacea, eczema, skin cancer detection and treatment, and minimally invasive aesthetic procedures such as lasers, injectables, and microneedling.

Sydney Coscia is a dedicated Physician Assistant specializing in dermatology. Sydney earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant (MSPA) degree from St. John’s University in June 2024, where she built a strong clinical foundation and a deep commitment to patient-centered care.
Her passion for dermatology grew from a desire to help patients feel confident in their own skin, addressing both medical and cosmetic concerns with compassion and expertise. Sydney is particularly drawn to the field’s unique combination of procedural work and long-term patient relationships, which allows her to witness meaningful, lasting improvements in her patients’ health and well-being.
To further her dedication and expertise, Sydney is completing a dermatology fellowship through the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA).
