He concluded residency by receiving the Irwin M. Freedberg, M.D. Award, recognizing the resident who contributed the most to advancing dermatology within the broader “House of Medicine.”

Yelena Vevitsis is a licensed Physician Assistant, who received her bachelor of science degree in biology from Pace University and completed her Physician Assistant program at NYC Pace University-Lenox Hill Hospital. She has been practicing Dermatology for more than 20 years.

Yelena diagnoses and treats many dermatological conditions including, acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, pre-cancer and skin cancers, warts, severe sweating, and various skin rashes. She performs lesion removals, biopsies, and skin cancer screenings.

Yelena’s reputation is not only defined by her work but also by her caring, dedication, and compassion for her patients.

Eyal Levit, MD

Dr. Eyal Levit is a board-certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon in New York specializing in biohacking and longevity, Mohs surgery, laser treatments, cosmetic surgery, and regenerative aesthetic medicine. He teaches and practices dermatology, Mohs surgery, laser procedures, and cosmetic surgery in Manhattan Beach, Brooklyn, where he serves as the Director of an ASDS Cosmetic Dermatology Fellowship, training physicians in advanced cosmetic and surgical techniques.

Dr. Levit completed his dermatology residency at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, followed by fellowship training in Mohs surgery at UPenn, as well as an additional two years of training in cosmetic surgery.

Dr. Levit serves as an Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Columbia University, Mount Sinai Medical Center, and Universidad CES in Colombia. He previously served for more than fifteen years as the Director of Dermatologic and Cosmetic Surgery at St. Luke’s–Roosevelt Hospital, Mount Sinai, where he received the Teacher of the Year Award in Surgical Dermatology.

Dr. Levit has authored numerous scientific publications and is the co-author of the textbook published in 2024, Procedures in Cosmetic Dermatology Series: Surgical Lifting (Elsevier). His work focuses on medical surgical and cosmetic dermatology with special interest in preventative medicine and longevity in particularly using NAD therapies, peptides and exosomes for hair, skin and body rejuvenation.

Dr. Michael Kurzman is a respected, board-certified dermatologist practicing in Staten Island, New York; near Rossville and Pleasant Plains. From his offices, he specializes in the treatment of skin conditions including acne, psoriasis, mole removal, hyperhidrosis and offers anti-aging treatments involving Botox and fillers.

Dr. Kurzman earned his medical degree from New York Medical College in 1980 after completing his undergraduate education at Yeshiva University. His post-graduate training included an internal medicine internship and residency at Maimonides Medical Center and a dermatology residency at New York Medical College.

A diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners, Dr. Kurzman is board-certified by both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Dermatology. In addition, he is also a fellow of The American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Kurzman was a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Dermatology at New York Medical College and is the Co-Director of the Division of Dermatology at Staten Island University Hospital.

Angela Azar, MD, is a skilled and practiced Board-Certified Dermatologist specializing in Aesthetic Dermatology and Pediatric and Adult Dermatology at Angela Azar, MD. Dr. Azar leads her self-named dermatology practice, providing outstanding care for all patients in Great Neck and Jackson Heights, New York.

Education and learning have always been of importance to Dr. Azar. In 1996 she received her Medical Degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine, now called Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, located in New York City, New York. 

From 1997 to 2000, Dr. Azar completed an Internship at Montefiore Medical Center (Montefiore Hospital) in the Bronx, New York, and a Dermatology Residency at NY Medical College (NYMC) in Valhalla, New York.

Sydney Coscia is a dedicated Physician Assistant specializing in dermatology. Sydney earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant (MSPA) degree from St. John’s University in June 2024, where she built a strong clinical foundation and a deep commitment to patient-centered care.

Her passion for dermatology grew from a desire to help patients feel confident in their own skin, addressing both medical and cosmetic concerns with compassion and expertise. Sydney is particularly drawn to the field’s unique combination of procedural work and long-term patient relationships, which allows her to witness meaningful, lasting improvements in her patients’ health and well-being.

To further her dedication and expertise, Sydney is completing a dermatology fellowship through the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA). She remains committed to continuous learning and providing high-quality, evidence-based care. Known for her approachable demeanor, attentiveness, and warm bedside manner, Sydney is a valued member of our team and is well-respected by her patients.

Joanna Trigg DO is a Board Certified Dermatologist who treats both adult and pediatric patients. She is a native New Yorker who grew up in Brooklyn and attended Bishop Kearney High School. After graduating summa cum laude and earning a bachelor’s degree in biology with minors in chemistry and psychology from Wagner College, Dr. Trigg received her medical degree from NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, NY. She then completed her residency at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Queens, New York in affiliation with Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.

During her residency, Dr. Trigg attended, presented and lectured at many conferences. She also served as Chief Dermatology resident during the final year. Training in New York City gave her exposure to a very large and diverse patient population.

Dr. Trigg is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American College of Osteopathic Medicine. and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and enjoys medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, with her expertise in acne, rosacea and skin cancer screenings. Dr. Trigg enjoys working with her patients to provide a comprehensive and individualized treatment plan for all their needs!  

Theresa Durchhalter, DO, is a board-certified dermatologist serving patients at Allure Dermatology in Hicksville, New York. She specializes in general and cosmetic dermatology and has experience treating adult and pediatric patients with a wide array of skin disorders, including acne, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, alopecia, and skin cancers. 

Dr. Durchhalter is a native of Long Island, New York, with a long-standing commitment to her community. She graduated Magna cum Laude from Adelphi University in Garden City, New York, with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry. 

In 2016, Dr. Durchhalter obtained her medical degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia, where she graduated as a member of the Sigma Sigma Phi honors fraternity. Upon completion, she returned to New York to complete her dermatology residency at St. John’s Episcopal, where she was appointed chief resident. 

Dr. Durchhalter believes in a personalized, hands-on approach to patient care, utilizing her osteopathic skills to treat the entire body. She also takes pride in treating each patient as if they are family, creating a warm, trusting, and individualized environment. 

Dr. Durchhalter is an active member of various organizations, including the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, and the American Medical Association.

Dr. Eckman established his private practice in 2001 and opened the Towson Dermatology & Cosmetic Center in 2006 to provide innovative and comprehensive dermatologic and skin care to his patients. Dr. Eckman's expertise includes the detection and management of skin cancer and the treatment of skin disorders in both pediatric and adult patients. Dr. Eckman has participated in skin cancer screenings for the Baltimore Orioles in combination with the American Academy of Dermatology Play it Safe in the Sun program and has been a sought after speaker on the topic of skin cancer detection and prevention. Dr. Eckman has recently relocated to Long Island and has established his new practice in Rockville Centre, NY. He looks forward to providing the same level of care and expertise to his patients in his new practice as he provided during his tenure serving as an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Johns Hopkins Hospital for nearly twenty years.

Lainey Ortiz, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant at Integrated Dermatology of NJ, located in Spotswood, NJ. 

Mrs. Ortiz received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from The College of William and Mary and her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from LIU in Brooklyn, New York. She is a member of The American Academy of Physician Assistants and The Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.

Mrs. Ortiz specializes in treating and educating patients about various skin conditions, including but not limited to acne, eczema, rosacea, fungal infections, skin cancer, and warts. She takes pleasure in discussing skincare regimens and cosmetic treatments tailored to each individual’s skin matters. Acne and rosacea are two conditions she focuses on treating as she personally has encountered these difficult skin obstacles.

When Lainey isn’t treating patients, she loves to create fashionable outfits and design interiors. You can also find Lainey dancing salsa with her husband and venturing to the park with her rescue family dog.

Adam Nabatian, MD, FAAD, FACMS, is a board-certified dermatologist practicing at Integrated Dermatology of NJ, located in Spotswood, NJ. 

Dr. Nabatian completed his undergraduate studies at New York University, graduating Magna cum laude with honors. He then attended UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and performed his residency in Dermatology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He then went on to complete an additional Mohs/Procedural Dermatology Fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, NY, where he continues to serve as a clinical Instructor. Dr. Nabatian is also a clinic instructor at Montefiore Medical Center, where he teaches medical students and residents.

Dr. Nabatian has received numerous honors and awards and has contributed to the field with his research, publications, and presentations. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and American College of Mohs Surgery. At Integrated Dermatology of NJ, his focus is on Mohs Micrographic Surgery for skin cancer removal.
