Raoul Perez, MD, is a primary care physician. He joined the elite team of providers at Calvary Medical Clinic in 2021, bringing his many years of knowledge and experience to the Livingston, Texas, office. 

Dr. Perez began his education and training in 1968. After earning his medical degree, he started practicing medicine in the upper northwestern United States and Canada. Upon relocating to Texas in the early 1980s, Dr. Perez obtained valuable experience as the emergency room physician at McAllen Methodist Hospital before opening a primary care practice and settling into his forever home in Livingston, Texas. He quickly became a pillar of the community, joining a three-physician team of providers while consecutively serving as the medical director for the Alabama-Coushatta Reservation.

In 2008, Dr. Perez joined Livingston Memorial Hospital as their clinical practicing primary care physician. As the hospital organization consolidated with Baylor and then with CHI St. Luke’s, Dr. Perez stayed on in his role as their clinic PCP, all the while continuing with his previous commitment at the Reservation.

Dr. Perez has been a member of the Texas Medical Association and has held his Texas Medical License since 1979. He holds his AHA BLS certification. He has been a San Jacinto County Medical Society member since 1979 and a staff physician at the hospital in Livingston, Texas, since 1982. Jennifer Livingston, PA-C, is a skilled and compassionate physician assistant practicing at Calvary Medical Clinic, an internal medicine practice that has locations in Cleveland, Livingston, and Humble, Texas. She joined the practice’s elite team of providers in 2015. She has over 30 years of education, training, and medical experience.

After completing her initial studies at Illinois State University, she went on to receive her bachelor’s degree from Midwestern University and, ultimately, her master’s degree in family practice and emergency medicine. Ms. Livingston prestigiously graduated with distinctive honors for each degree that she earned.

Her initial medical career began in the underserved rural communities of Illinois and led her to become the overseeing physician assistant in the Rural Health Clinic of Carthage. She was instrumental in creating a pediatric program that gave small gifts to children upon admission to reassure and comfort them. That program is still in place today.

Later opportunities led her to Fort Hood, Texas, where she cared for military service members and their families as a primary care provider. She’s now settled in Livingston, Texas, where she continues providing medical care to local residents and families.

Ms. Willoughby joins our team at Calvary Medical Clinic, bringing over 40 years of education, training, and comprehensive experience with her. Mr. Willoughby began her journey in medicine in 1984 as a Medical-Surgical nurse at Doctor’s Hospital in Houston, Tx. She acquired her education and training at North Harris Montgomery Community College in Tomball, Tx; followed by graduating Summa Cum Laude from Prairie View A&M University earning her Master of Science in Nursing.

After obtaining her MSN degree, Ms. Willoughby practiced at a handful of locations over the next 20 years in and around the Houston area, sometimes working at multiple locations at once, providing needed health care services for some of the more indigent communities.

Ms. Christine Thorpe-Gilpin joined the Calvary team of providers in early 2024, bringing with her over 14 years of education, training, and experience.

Ms. Thorpe-Gilpin began her medical career as an RN at Cornwall Regional Hospital. She worked tirelessly for the next 10+ years, gaining valuable experience in areas such as Pediatrics with disabilities, LTAC, ICU, NICU, MICU, CICU, CVICU, IMU, wound care & pressure ulcers, home health care, neurology, life support, and many other areas of acute and chronic care medicine.

She is certified in many areas, including NIH, BLS, Advanced CLS, Nursing Preceptor, and Critical Care. She obtained her Master of Science in Nursing in 2021 and her doctorate degree in February 2024.

Ms. Thorpe-Gilpin holds numerous honors and awards listed below: Daisy Award nominee x 2, Nursing Excellence Award nominee, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society award, National Society of Leadership & Success award, The Golden Key award, and Today’s Nurse- Outstanding Top Nurse in Houston, Texas. Joseph Goin, MD, is a highly regarded and recommended board-certified pediatrics/family practice physician that has over 42 years of experience in the medical field. He sees patients at Calvary Medical Clinic, his internal medicine practice, which has locations in Cleveland, Livingston, and Humble, Texas.

After completing his undergraduate and doctoral studies, Dr. Goin finished his residency training at the University of Illinois and Michael Reese hospitals in Chicago. His professional experience includes working in a diverse mix of clinics and hospitals and holding a variety of leadership positions, including clinical assistant professor, chief of pediatrics, and chief of staff.

Dr. Goin serves as Calvary’s medical director while also working as one of the practicing physicians at his offices. He provides strong leadership in all areas of primary care, including diabetes, hypertension, circulatory disorders, well-child exams, immunizations and vaccinations, physicals, well-woman exams, family care, geriatrics, arthritis, and many other individual diagnoses.

In addition to his current roles at Calvary Medical Clinic, Dr. Goin serves as the medical director for the City of Cleveland, Texas, as well as medical director for the Calvary Urgent Care Team in Humble, Texas, providing urgent care services 12 hours a day, six days a week.
