Lauren Kent Davis, DO, is a board-certified family practice physician at South Coast Family Medical Center Inc. Dr. Kent Davis is passionate about providing accessible primary care to the community. She grew up in Laguna Niguel, California, where her father, Michael Kent, MD, founded South Coast Family Medical Center in 1990.

Dr. Kent Davis grew up playing soccer for the SC Blues Soccer Club and attended Santa Margarita Catholic High School in Rancho Santa Margarita, California. Dr. Kent Davis followed in her father’s footsteps, choosing medicine as her profession. She earned her undergraduate degree in psychology and pre-med from the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana. While studying at Notre Dame, Dr. Kent Davis continued playing soccer and was on the university’s varsity team.

Dr. Kent Davis went to medical school at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri. While in medical school, she met her husband, Chris Davis, DO. After graduation, she completed a three-year residency in family medicine at St. Anthony North Family Medicine Residency in Denver, part of Centura Health®.

In 2013, Dr. Kent Davis moved back to California and joined South Coast Family Medical Center. Dr. Kent Davis and her husband have three children: Maddison, Charlotte, and Jackson. In their spare time, they love spending time outdoors with their family.

Neda Black, MD, FAAD, is a highly-regarded and well-trained double board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained dermatopathologist focusing on medical and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Black subsequently completed her residency training in dermatology at the University of Southern California, where she was elected to serve as Chief Resident of the program. Here she received extensive and in-depth training in all aspects of medical, surgical, cosmetic, and pediatric dermatology. After residency, she went on to complete a prestigious fellowship in dermatopathology under the direction of Loren Golitz, MD, at the University of Colorado Denver. This extra training has allowed her to develop special expertise in the microscopic diagnosis of skin cancer and skin disease.

Dr. Black has published numerous peer-reviewed articles in journals such as the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and JAMA Dermatology. Her research generally focuses on skin cancer prevention and melanoma detection, and it has been frequently cited in the popular press, such as NPR, BBC News, Forbes, Huffington Post, and Medscape. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a fellow of the American Society of Dermatopathology. She is also on the medical staff at Huntington Hospital.

Karen Taylor, MD, FACOG, is a skilled and compassionate gynecologist located in Newport Beach, CA who is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art, patient-centered gynecological care for women of all ages. Dr. Margaret Shannon M.D.

Dr. Shannon, originally from Massachusetts, resides in Newport Beach, California. She graduated from Georgetown University, Washington DC with a B.S.N. and continued her education at Georgetown Medical School, Washington, DC where she obtained her medical degree. After serving eight years in the Navy in San Diego, California, Dr. Shannon decided to go into private practice. She is the founder of Coastline Dermatology Laser and Medical Center in Newport Beach, CA. Her sincere pride, passion and desire to be one of the best dermatologists possible resulted in the success of a 25+ year practice.

Dr. Shannon is an exceptionally gifted surgeon specializing in Mohs’ Surgery. She also loves the cosmetic side of dermatology and remains educated, trained and certified in all state of the art laser and cosmetic procedures available.

Julia is an AANP certified Family Nurse Practitioner, fluent in English and Spanish who was awarded an ADN scholarship from the National Association of Hispanic Nurses. She received her associate degree in nursing from Antelope Valley College and both her bachelor’s and master’s degree from California State University, Bakersfield. 

Julia’s scope of practice is focused on Family Practice, Acute and Chronic Care and her medical background includes over 20 years of experience in various fields of nursing including acute care facilities, assisting in cardiology, the emergency department, respiratory care, senior care facilities, medical surgical, stroke and telemetry units. 

Julia’s life-long passion and desire has been to help in the community, providing compassionate care to patients while simultaneously educating her patients on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. She brings with her a wealth of experience and quality evidence-based care and considers it a privilege to be able to channel her passion for nursing through her work as a Family Nurse Practitioner as well as serving in the community and church, helping those who are less fortunate. 

 

Yessenia Toscano, FNP-C, MSN, BSN, RN, is a dedicated nurse professional at Apple Urgent Care in Colton, Coachella, Moreno Valley, Hemet, Perris, Riverside, Indio, and San Bernardino, California. 

Yessenia started her nursing education at Riverside City College in Riverside, California, earning an associate degree in nursing. While working as a clinical nurse at Riverside Community Hospital, Yessenia completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at California State University Fullerton in Fullerton, California. 

Dedicated to advancing in her profession, Yessenia continued her education at Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, California, earning her Master of Science to become a family nurse practitioner. During her master’s program, Yessenia won the Outstanding Masters Nursing Student award. 

Yessenia has several years of experience working as an acute care nurse and excels at delivering high-quality patient care as a nurse practitioner. She has experience in primary care, women’s health, pediatrics, psychosocial, and urgent care.

Urgent care, acute intensive care, and neurology are her favorite areas of medicine.
