Sarah Ashitey, MD is board certified in Family Medicine and provides comprehensive care both for the individual and family. She brings a patient-centered personal touch into every encounter and believes that each patient’s unique story is central to the healing process and path to wholeness and wellbeing.

She obtained her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas and completed her residency at the esteemed John Peter Smith Hospital residency program. It is here that she gained the tools needed for broad spectrum family medicine as well as an unparalleled experience in procedural training.

Consequently Dr. Ashitey is able to offer her patients a wide array of services from her skill set including but not limited to chronic disease management, joint injections and dry needling, laser therapy and hormone therapy.

She heads up the Sexual Healing and Wellness programs at Southwest Family where we offer Adam and Eve packages using laser and PRP shots for Penile Enhancement and Vaginal Rejuvenation.

Dr. Sarah has an integrative philosophical background, so she works with the whole person to combine meds, and other natural modalities to get the best results.

In her spare time, she enjoys storytelling, travel, and playing tennis. She has a special interest in community health and development and lends her time outside of clinical hours to community-based research and various community health initiatives.

Frank Lee, MD, is a family and emergency medicine physician with decades of experience. GLP-1 weight loss provider, specialist and coach He enjoys practicing medicine at North Tex MedCare Clinic and Urgent Care, which has convenient locations in Allen, Addison, Fort Worth, and San Antonio, Texas. He also provides telemedicine service and is able to see patients online all over the US. 

Dr. Lee earned his medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in Zapopan, Mexico, and New York Medical College in New York City. After graduation, he completed a residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison, Wisconsin.

He is now involved with weight loss speciality with GLP-1 weight loss and coaching and support.  Years of experience in telemedicine, primary care, urgent care and emergency medicine, Dr. Lee has extensive experience providing responsive care to patients. He has also treats patients for weight loss with todays current medication of Tirzepatide and Semaglutide. . He has been an advocate for telemedicine since it rose in popularity around 2008 and continues to integrate remote care into his work.

Dr. Lee’s well-rounded expertise also includes weight loss, primary care, urgent care. pediatrics, dermatology, and psychiatry, allowing him to provide primary care services for patients of all ages. He specializes in GLP-1 weight loss and maintenance, chronic disease management, cold and flu care, injury treatment, and other conditions that demand prompt attention.

Dr. Lee takes the time to understand each patient’s needs, ensuring his expertise aligns with their needs and goals.

Outside of work, Dr. Lee enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, learning new AI technology, attending trade shows and events and sporting events.

I graduated as a doctor in Cuba at the University of Havana in 1986.I have been working since that date without interruption. In 2007 I arrived in this wonderful country. I got ARNP in 2018. and I'm working as a FNP since that date.

Karan Staggers is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C). She is a graduate of Olivet Nazarene University College of Nursing (BSN) and Walden University (MSN in Nursing) specializing in Family Nurse Practitioner. Karan is associated with A.L.M.S. Community Health Center, Inc in Grand Prairie, Texas where she is actively practicing as an FNP-C. Karan has been in nursing for greater than 25 years specializing in pediatric nursing, critical care nursing, and emergency medicine. She has been recognized as a Sigma Theta Tau international member for nurses. She was awarded the P.R.I.D.E. (Participation, Respect, Integrity, Diversity and Excellence) Values award for nursing by the University of Chicago Hospital in Chicago, Illinois for excellence in nursing. She has had a career interest in the health and well-being of the family since her inception of her career. Her focus is identifying disease, managing chronic illness, and educating patients about their health.

Adolphus started out his career as a young staff nurse and worked his way up. He received his bachelor’s degree in nursing from Texas Woman’s University in 2005, and subsequently obtained his master’s and doctorate degree from the same school in 2011 and 2018 respectively. Adolphus has worked in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities and home health care homes. Adolphus believes in focusing on the whole person when caring for his patients. He is passionate about providing quality care while remaining mindful of his patients’ individual preferences and needs. In a world where everything is a trend, Adolphus is the one constant. From his love of the healthcare profession to his empathetic nature as a driving force, he remains steadfast in his abilities and passionate for the practice. Strong communication skills and a kind soul have been Adolphus assets in his long career dedicated to service.

Modesta Onyia is a doctoral-prepared nurse practitioner focused on nursing practice and family medicine. Her wide range of clinical interests includes health promotion and disease prevention of patients across the lifespan. She has been practicing since 2013. Modesta completed her bachelor’s degree in nursing at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and received a master’s of nursing science degree in Family Nurse practitioner (Cum laude) from Texas Woman’s University in 2013. She completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2018 at Texas Woman’s University in Dallas, Tx. Modesta has worked in different settings including inpatient and outpatient settings. She is a certified CPR instructor and is a Functional medicine graduate at SAFM. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, North Texas nurse practitioners, and the National Association of Nigeria Nurse Practitioners US, among others. She believes that health is wealth when you know you do better.

Mike grew up in several states and Germany. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Nebraska University through the Interservice Physician Assistant Program while serving in the US Army. He later was selected and earned his Doctorate of Science in Clinical Orthopedics through Baylor University/US Army Physician Assistant Orthopedic Fellowship.

Mike is a retired US Army Major with multiple combat deployments and an extensive background in Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, Flight Surgery, and Orthopedics both non-operative and operative. His final assignment included Cast clinic chief, Adjunct faculty member to US Army Graduate School Academy Health Sciences, and senior Orthopedic Physician Assistant for Darnall Army Medical Center/Fort Hood, Texas. He is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

Mike currently lives in Celina. He enjoys sports, hunting, fishing, and carpentry/building.

Maryline Ongangi, APRN, FNP-C, is a board-certified Primary Care Practitioner at the private medical practice Primecare Family Practice in Arlington, Texas.
