Born in Winnipeg, Canada, Dr. Mehta grew up in Houston, Texas, and graduated from Memorial High School. He attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology and graduated on the Dean’s List. He continued to medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He furthered his training in cardiology at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, where he was trained in specialized invasive procedures and diagnostic imaging. Dr. Mehta has expertise in cardiology, including the evaluation of common cardiac complaints such as chest pain, shortness of breath, passing out, leg swelling, and palpitations. He has a particular interest in preventive cardiology, including management of high blood pressure and cholesterol disorders, as well as management of the disease after they have developed such circulatory problems of the legs, coronary artery disease, and heart failure. Dr. Mehta places special emphasis on patient education. Dr. Mehta is trained in special cardiac procedures, including coronary angiography and angioplasty, pacemaker insertion, and transesophageal echocardiography. His main research has been in cardiac imaging, and he has several publications on echocardiography.

Dr. Mammen grew up in Kerala, India, and earned his medical degree at Trivandrum Medical College in Thiruvananthapuram, India. Yasser Al-Khadra, MD, FACC, is a highly trained cardiologist at Memorial Katy Cardiology Associates in Houston, Katy, and Cypress, Texas.
Dr. Al-Khadra is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology, nuclear cardiology and cardiac computed tomography. He completed his General Cardiology fellowship at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Illinois. Then, went on for his Interventional Cardiology training at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Amir Kashani, MD, MS, FACC, is a well-trained cardiologist at Memorial Katy Cardiology Associates in Houston, Katy, and Sealy, Texas.
Dr. Kashani grew up in Houston, Texas, and attended Second Baptist Middle School and High School. He completed his Internal Medicine training at Rochester General Hospital through the University of Rochester School of Medicine in New York, where he also served as Chief Resident and Clinical Instructor. He attended Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut, for his cardiovascular and electrophysiology training. Dr. Kashani currently continues his academic interests as a Baylor College of Medicine teaching faculty.
Dr. Kashani remains active by enjoying a variety of sports. Also, he and his wife have a special interest in community service. Dr. Kashani is the President, Founder, and member of several charity organizations in Houston. One major focus of the charity organization that Dr. Kashani has established is providing health care to underprivileged children in Houston.
Dr. Mamillapalli is a compassionate cardiologist specializing in personal, evidence-based care with a passion for women’s health. She earned her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Connecticut, where she received the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Minnesota and served veterans at the Minneapolis VA Hospital before training in General and Interventional Cardiology at Northwell Health in New York, where she was Chief Fellow.

Annie Chang, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant at Heights Dermatology in Houston.
Annie is originally from the Houston area and attended high school at St. Agnes Academy. She graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science and Arts in Nutrition in Business. She obtained her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from UTMB in 2019.
Before completing her graduate studies, she gained hands-on experience working as a clinical care coordinator in hepatology at the Houston Medical Center.

Mubarak Khawaja, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician with training in pulmonary medicine, and has over 30 years of experience in acute and chronic health care management. He currently practices at CareOne Internal Medicine and Primary Care, and aims to provide compassionate, high-quality care for all patients in and around Houston and Katy, Texas.
Dr. Khawaja received his medical degree from Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences in Sindh, Pakistan, in 1987. In 1994, he completed his residency in internal medicine at Mercy Catholic Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, through the Medical College of Pennsylvania, now known as Drexel University College of Medicine, where he also served as chief resident in 1995.
