“In these times when doctors are often beholden to systems that strip the doctor-patient relationship of its humanity, it was profoundly reassuring to find Dr Shapiro: a caring and thoughtful physician who takes the time to really listen and understand the patient experience. I have felt very listened to and very safe in his care- not to even mention that I was in pain and distress when I arrived and he quickly sorted out a complex medical situation and put me on the right medicine, and without ordering a bunch of unnecessary invasive tests, which many GI docs would have done. Dr Shapiro is practicing the true art of medicine. Highly, highly recommend. ”
