Dr. Zachary Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Mississippi College, where he graduated with honors in 2011. After that, he completed medical school at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, earning his MD in 2016. During his time in medical school, he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Societies, was selected by his peers for induction into the Gold Humanism Honor Society, and received the UMMC Neurosurgery Merit Award.
Following medical school, Dr. Johnson completed both his residency in neurosurgery and a spine surgery fellowship at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. His fellowship focused on surgical treatment for the full spectrum of spine pathology, from minimally invasive techniques, including spinal surgical robotics, to complex spine pathologies, including spinal deformity and spinal oncology.
Dr. Desaloms graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1988 Summa Cum Laude. He then graduated from Baylor College of Medicine in 1992. Born in Cameroon, and raised in Paris, France, Dr. Jean Louis Benae came to the United States at the age of 20 to attend the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He pursued a degree in Physiological Sciences and graduated with honors. He continued his education at the David Geffen UCLA School of Medicine, where he obtained his Doctorate in Medicine.
During his graduate medical education, his fascination for neuroscience led him to a neurotrauma research fellowship with the UCLA Brain Injury Research Center. After completing his research fellowship, Dr. Benae began his neurosurgery specialty training at the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals in Milwaukee.
