 Dr. Candance is a caring provider who brings over a dozen years of experience and state-of-the-art patient care in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.  She served her residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, IL and worked at the University of Illinois and Swedish American Hospital, before moving to Henderson, NV and calling it home in 2015.

David L. Howard, MD, Ph.D., is a board-certified OB/GYN providing progressive health care at his private practice in Las Vegas, Nevada. .

Born in Jamaica, Dr. Howard immigrated to the United States at 18. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Johns Hopkins University and his Doctor of Philosophy in Epidemiology at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health in Baltimore, Maryland.

After earning his Ph.D., Dr. Howard completed a postdoctoral fellowship in perinatal epidemiology at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He returned to Baltimore, graduating with his Doctor of Medicine at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.

Dr. Howard completed his medical internship at New York-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City and his OB/GYN residency at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) in Kansas City, Missouri. 

Following his residency training, Dr. Howard joined the United States Air Force (USAF) on active duty. After completing his military service, Dr. Howard spent several years working as an attending physician in Las Vegas and then relocated to New Jersey to serve as an attending OB/GYN physician at the University Hospital in Newark.

Dr. Howard is also an assistant professor for the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Women's Health at Rutgers New Jersey School of Medicine in Newark, New Jersey.

Dr. Alemi has been practicing medicine in Las Vegas since 2014. She completed her residency here in Las Vegas at UMC as part of the University of Nevada, Reno training program. While she has been serving the women and families in Las Vegas since 2010, she has also had the privilege and opportunity to provide medical care to patients in Philadelphia, where she completed medical school, and Stanford California where she completed undergraduate and graduate studies. Todd Stearns embarked on his journey in the healthcare field after completing his service in the U.S. military. He initially worked in sales within the pharmaceutical industry. Concurrently, he dedicated his time as a volunteer, first as an orderly in a psychiatric care unit and later as a medical technician at a hospital in Washington D.C. During his sales visits, Stearns engaged in conversations with a variety of patients in waiting rooms. These interactions, both intriguing and enlightening, uncovered a common desire among patients for a better level of health. They expressed their individual health concerns and aspirations for a more fulfilling life, seeking guidance to achieve these goals. Maria Palmquist, MD, FACOG, is board certified in obstetrics, gynecology, maternal-fetal medicine, and clinical genetics and genomics. Mary Khine, MD, FACOG, is a perinatologist at Desert Perinatal Associates in Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada. Dr. Khine is one of the newest members to join the DPA family, and she is looking forward to building new relationships with families in the community. 

Dr. Khine is originally from New Jersey but she relocated to Nevada. She has decades of experience in providing care to families of all backgrounds and holds board certifications in maternal-fetal medicine, obstetrics, and gynecology.

For her medical education, she attended Jefferson Medical College. Following her studies, she went on to complete her obstetrics residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School, where she was awarded a fellowship with Yale University.  

While Dr. Khine was residing in New Jersey, she worked for a large hospital that specialized in maternal-fetal medicine for many years. During her time there, she also served on several committees and was the medical director of ultrasound services. 

At Desert Perinatal Associates, Dr. Khine takes great pride in caring for her patients and enjoys being a part of a very special time in a woman’s life. While being an exciting time, it’s also a nerve-wracking and anxious experience. She has a natural gift for finding calm in the storm and providing compassionate care that helps reassure her patients.  

Paul T. Wilkes, MD, FACOG, offers expert perinatal care to women in the communities of Henderson and Las Vegas, Nevada, at Desert Perinatal Associates. He received his bachelor of arts degree from Pepperdine University and his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Nevada School of Medicine, where he also performed post-graduate work in obstetrics and gynecology. Throughout his education, he received numerous awards and honors for academics and research.

Dr. Wilkes served as an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Nevada and as an Instructor/Fellow in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. He has been widely published in respected medical journals and regularly lectures nationally on perinatal topics.

Board-certified with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Dr. Wilkes also serves his community. He’s on the board of directors for two local foundations and donates his time and medical care to the women of Safe Nest and Shade Tree – local domestic violence shelters. He is the father of three and loves writing, CrossFit, and traveling.

Sean Keeler, MD, FACOG, provides his expertise in perinatal medicine to women living in and around Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada, at Desert Perinatal Associates. Dr. Keeler is board certified in both obstetrics and gynecology and maternal-fetal medicine.

He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania. After graduating, he was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy and awarded a full scholarship through the Federal Health Professions Scholarship Program to attend CCP Hahnemann School of Medicine in Philadelphia. After obtaining his medical degree, Dr. Keeler completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

During his academic years, he received numerous teaching awards, including the Pennsylvania State University Hershey Medical Center Award for Humanism and Excellence in Teaching. Following his fellowship training, Dr. Keeler served four years active duty as a Lieutenant Commander at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth as the Division Director of Maternal-Fetal Medicine. After his activity duty was complete, Dr. Keeler was awarded the prestigious Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal for distinguishing himself with meritorious service to our country.

Dr. Keeler has a strong interest in clinical research in preterm labor and cervical insufficiency. He has authored seventeen original manuscripts and two book chapters on the topic. He serves the community by supporting the March of Dimes and the Promise Walk for Preeclampsia. He was elected to the Board of Directors of the Unforgettables Foundation of Southern Nevada.

He’s married and has extra compassion for his patients, as two of his three daughters were born of high-risk pregnancies. He enjoys golfing, exercising, and enjoying good meals with his friends.

Joseph Adashek, MD, FACOG, is rated by U.S. News & World Report as being among the top 1% of physicians in the nation practicing in the field of Perinatology. Dr. Adashek has served in many hospital leadership positions and is currently the Director of the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Summerlin Hospital Medical Center and Southern Hills Hospital. He is also an Associate Clinical Professor in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Nevada School of Medicine and serves as an instructor at Touro University.
