He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Wayne State University before continuing his education at The Ohio State University, where he received his Doctorate in Optometry.
Following the completion of his studies, Dr. DeMercurio established his own solo practice, PCLC, where he served patients for more than 40 years. Throughout his career, he built a reputation for compassionate care, clinical excellence, and strong relationships with generations of patients and their families. After many successful years in private practice, his office later merged with 2020 Family Vision, allowing him to continue providing trusted eye care within a collaborative practice environment.

Dr. Elias is originally from Windsor, Ontario, and graduated from Wayne State University in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in biology and minor in health and nutrition science. Upon completion of her undergraduate degree, she was accepted into Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago and graduated with her Doctor of Optometry in May 2018. During her final year of optometry school, she had the opportunity to work with low vision patients to help the legally blind with daily activities using telescopes and magnifiers, specialty contact lenses to treat diseases such as keratoconus.
During her rotations, Dr. Elias also had the opportunity to work at John Dingell VA hospital in Michigan and Lake City VA hospital in Florida.
