His fellowship training at the University of Southern California focused on trauma, pelvic, and acetabular surgery. Dr. Dickson furthered his expertise by completing an additional fellowship in Ilizarov limb lengthening and deformities and an AOTrauma fellowship in trauma centers in Germany and Switzerland.

Dr. Dickson is a calm, collected physician with years of experience in treating patients with orthopedic trauma. For over 15 years, he has restored thousands of patients back to health and function. Dr. Dickson’s areas of specialty care include complex orthopedic trauma, disorders of the hip, acetabular fractures, and pelvic injuries, as well as post-traumatic malunions, nonunions, and infections.

Dr. Dickson is a known expert in the field of orthopedic trauma and reconstruction, and has served as a president of both the New Orleans Orthopaedic Society and the Houston Orthopaedic Society.

He values teaching and mentoring the next generation of physicians, and was formerly a professor and chairman of orthopedic surgery at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, as well as a tenured professor of orthopedics at Tulane University in New Orleans.

Dr. Dickson gives back to the community by working in underprivileged hospitals and volunteering with Boy Scouts of America. He also has done medical missionary work in Africa, South America, and India.
