His training included rotations at world-leading institutions like Boston Children’s Hospital, R Adams Crowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Maryland, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. Dr. Koenig served as chief resident during his final year and completed a traveling fellowship at The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Australia. 

Leaving New York City for sunny Southern California, Dr. Koenig finished a one-year fellowship in pediatric orthopedics and scoliosis surgery at the world-renowned Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego. Anand Shah, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and board-certified orthopedic hand surgeon and the owner of Valley Orthopedic Institute in Palmdale and Ridgecrest, California.
