Lauren Gasparini DNP is a Nurse Practitioner at Garden State Pain & Orthopedics, specializing in pain and rehabilitation. She loves spending time boating, swimming, going to the Jersey Shore, and visiting her family's lake house in the Adirondacks. Lauren loves spending time with her beautiful family, husband and daughter.

Fun Fact: Lauren was an avid swimmer and athlete growing up. Although this may come at no surprise with the spirit and joy she portrays, Lauren was her college mascot (The Bobcat) for one year at Quinnipiac!

Andrew So, MD, is a board-certified anesthesiologist and interventional pain management physician at Garden State Pain & Orthopedics with offices in Edison, Clifton, Hazlet or Jersey City, New Jersey. Dr. So believes that each patient’s care should be personalized and strives to ensure the highest level of comfort and compassion through a multi-modal treatment approach. His specialties include neck pain, back pain, spine pain, post-laminectomy syndrome, headache pain, migraine pain, joint pain, knee pain, shoulder pain, hip pain, neuropathy, acute, and post-surgical pain syndromes, and complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), amongst others.

Dr. So attended the University of Michigan, where he graduated as an Angel Scholar with a Bachelor of Science in Brain Behavior & Cognitive Sciences. He received his Doctor of Medicine from Virginia Commonwealth University as a distinguished merit scholar, where he was also voted class president by his peers for his leadership abilities. 

He then went on to complete his residency in Anesthesiology at Albert Einstein University of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center.  During his residency, Dr. So was honored by his peers and faculty with the highly coveted Leo M. Davidoff Society Outstanding Teacher Award.  

Following residency, Dr. So completed fellowship training at Albert Einstein University of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center specializing in interventional pain management, where he served as a chief administrative fellow. In addition to his extensive training, Dr. So has contributed to the field of pain management through research initiatives and various publications, including first author credits for multiple chapters in Deer’s Treatment of Pain: An Illustrated Guide for Practitioners, as well as presentations at national and regional conferences. 

Dr. So believes in utilizing a comprehensive and multi-modal approach to pain management, allowing him to effectively diagnose, treat, and manage a wide array of pain and musculoskeletal-related conditions. He also possesses a robust procedural skill set including axial and peripheral procedures utilizing both fluoroscopic and ultrasound guidance.

In his free time, Dr. So enjoys hiking, traveling, tennis and spending time with family and friends. 

Philip Wallace, MD, is a renowned physician and interventional spine and sports medicine expert at Central Oregon Spine & Sport in Bend, Oregon. Dr. Wallace is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation, and specializes in the nonsurgical management of acute and subacute musculoskeletal injuries and remote intraoperative monitoring.

After earning his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee, Dr. Wallace completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He followed that with fellowship training in interventional spine and sports medicine at Southwest Spine & Sports in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Dr. Wallace opened Central Oregon Spine & Sports in February 2017. He takes a natural and conservative approach to treatment and tries to help his patients get off of pain medications and find relief by alternative means. Before finding his passion in medicine, Dr. Wallace was a professional musician based in Nashville. He spent over a decade playing guitar as a major label touring and recording artist, and even played on the Conan O’Brien Show and at the Grand Ole Opry. He was ultimately inspired to pursue medicine after reflecting on the legacy of his father, a revered orthopedic surgeon in Beaumont, Texas, who was paralyzed from the waist down from a rare autoimmune malfunction and worked out of a wheelchair.

When he’s not working with patients, Dr. Wallace leads an active lifestyle with his wife, Carrie, and their two children, Scott and Audrey. Emily Sudek, MD, brings extensive expertise as a board-certified anesthesiologist and pain medicine specialist to The Woodlands Sports Medicine Centre in The Woodlands, Texas. Specializing in addressing a wide array of pain issues, from back and joint discomfort to nerve and cancer-related pain, Dr. Sudek employs various advanced treatments, including joint injections, nerve blocks, and radiofrequency ablation.

Following her residency in anesthesiology at SUNY Upstate in Syracuse, New York, where she served as chief resident, she pursued further specialization in pain management at MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Manish Shah, MD, is a pain management physician serving patients SEPA Pain & Spine in Limerick, Pennsylvania. He focuses on advanced and minimally invasive pain management treatments to help patients become more active and regain their independence. 

Dr. Shah grew up in a small town in upstate New York and received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Buffalo in Buffalo, New York, graduating with the highest honor in both biology and business administration. 

He received his medical education from St. George’s University in True Blue, Grenada. He completed his residency in anesthesiology at Penn State Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania, followed by a fellowship in pain medicine at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida.

Renato Vesga, MD, is a dual board-certified physician by the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation in both Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine. With extensive training and clinical expertise, he specializes in diagnosing and treating the full spectrum of spine, musculoskeletal, and pain-related disorders at Anchor Spine & Joint, located in Tampa, Riverview, Odessa, Pinellas Park, and Lutz, Florida. 

His advanced skills include performing interventional spinal procedures, electrodiagnostic studies, and implanting neuromodulation systems to help patients manage chronic pain and improve function. Originally from New York City, Dr. Vesga completed his undergraduate studies at Columbia University before earning his medical degree at MCP Hahnemann School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 

He went on to complete his internship at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh and a residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. Anh L. Ngo, MD MBA, is a board-certified anesthesiologist and a Harvard-trained interventional pain medicine physician at Pain Specialty Group in Newmarket and Newington, New Hampshire. Dr. Zheng

John Zheng, DO, is an interventional pain management physician at Glaser Pain Relief Center in Encino, California, serving the San Fernando Valley and Greater Los Angeles Area.

Dr. Zheng earned his medical degree from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. He then completed an internship at the Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, California, through UCSF-Fresno, and a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Afterward, he furthered his training with a fellowship in interventional spine medicine at the UCLA Spine Center in Santa Monica, California.
