Chetan Puranik, MD, is the CEO and founder of Centers for Pain Control and Vein Care, overseeing locations in Hobart, LaPorte, Merrillville, Munster and Valparaiso, Indiana. He is double-board certified in pain management and anesthesiology and brings extensive clinical expertise and leadership to the organization.

Dr. Puranik earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he also completed his residency in anesthesiology and a fellowship in chronic and interventional pain medicine.

In 2009, Dr. Puranik founded Centers for Pain Control and Vein Care as an independent medical practice, beginning with a single location in LaPorte, Indiana. Hershey Medical Center, his anesthesia residency at Thomas Jefferson University, and his pain management fellowship at Jefferson Pain Center.   Dr. Sasso is the former Director of Pain Management Services and the former Chairman of Anesthesia at Abington Hospital-Jefferson Health. He has also served as a member of various committees at Abington Hospital and as a member of the Board of Trustees at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
