Dr. Davin Mitchell is a native of Georgia.  After high school, he pursued a bachelor’s degree in Biology and graduated with honors from Morehouse College in 1997. He then spent two years focusing on psychology by working at Charter Midtown Psychiatric facility and answering crisis calls on a suicide hotline.  In 2000, he entered medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Upon graduation in 2004, Dr. Mitchell started a yearlong internship in Internal Medicine at St. John’s hospital, also located in Detroit, where he learned the fundamentals of many medical fields. 

Dr. Mitchell decided to specialize in Anesthesiology and thus engaged in training at Duke University’s world-renowned anesthesiology program. There, he developed a reputation as an exceptional clinician in surgical procedures. He was thus invited to participate in Duke University’s prestigious Pain Management fellowship program and completed it successfully in 2009.

After fellowship, Dr. Mitchell returned to Georgia. Despite being recruited by large practices in Atlanta, he settled in LaGrange and founded Total Diagnostic and Interventional Pain in 2010, with the specific intent of bringing superior care to patients in need. Since then, Dr. Mitchell has worked tirelessly to safely manage pain for the community of LaGrange and the surrounding areas.

Mike M. Pappas, DO, is a board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist who believes in a nonsurgical approach to most musculoskeletal issues that promotes long-term health and mobility. Dr. Glaser

Jeffrey Glaser, MD, is a double board-certified interventional pain management physician and the founder of Glaser Pain Relief Center, serving the communities of Encino, California, the San Fernando Valley, and the Greater Los Angeles Area.

Dr. Glaser earned his medical degree at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his internship in internal medicine and his residency in anesthesiology at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). Dr. Glaser is board-certified by the American Board of Pain Medicine and the American Board of Anesthesiology.

Dr. Glaser specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders that cause pain, with a large focus on spine mediated pain (i.e., back pain, neck pain, and sciatica) due to conditions such as herniated/bulging discs, arthritis of the spine, spondylolisthesis, spinal stenosis, and failed back surgery syndrome. Some other conditions he treats include (but are not limited to) migraines, peripheral neuropathy, and complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS).

The initial diagnosis and workup of the condition causing pain are crucial to developing a comprehensive treatment plan. Dr. Luke Garcia, DO graduated from medical school in New York at the New York College for Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his internship at Palmetto General Hospital in Miami, Florida and did his residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Nassau University Medical Center in New York. Dr. Garcia completed a one year interventional pain management fellowship at the Florida Spine Institute in Tampa, Florida. He specialized in the treatment of acute and chronic pain using a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to pain management. He will construct a unique treatment plan for each patient that may combine rehabilitation therapy, medication management, and adjunctive therapies. Dr. Garcia also provides the latest, most up to date minimally invasive interventional treatments in order to alleviate and manage pain with the goal of restoring quality of life, increasing function, and regaining wholeness for patients suffering from pain.

Dr. Amit M. Patel, MD is the founding interventional pain physician at Integrity Pain & Wellness in Scottsdale, AZ, Mesa, AZ, and Prescott, AZ. He is dedicated to returning patients to an optimal quality of life and has an unparalleled background. Following residency training at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Anesthesiology and Critical Care, he completed a fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at the Mayo Clinic.

Dr. Bogdan Anghel was born in Bucharest, Romania, where he earned his medical degree from “Carol Davila” University Medical School. He completed his surgical residencies at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in New York, NY, and the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. His training concluded with a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.

With twenty-six years of experience, Dr. Anghel specializes in the management of painful spine and musculoskeletal disorders. He has a particular interest in interventional procedures such as epidural steroid injections, spine and peripheral joint injections, peripheral radiofrequency neurolysis, and spinal cord stimulator trials.

Dr. Anghel is board certified and re-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, as well as in Pain Medicine. He is proficient in Romanian, Spanish, and German. Currently residing in Show Low, AZ, Dr. Anghel leads an active lifestyle that includes running, hiking, and weightlifting. He is an avid reader of non-fiction and enjoys playing chess.

Lauren Gasparini DNP is a Nurse Practitioner at Garden State Pain & Orthopedics, specializing in pain and rehabilitation. Lauren received her Bachelor of Nursing degree at William Paterson University, and acquired her Doctor of Nursing Practice, Adult Nurse Practitioner from Rutgers University. Prior to completing her Doctor of Nursing program, Lauren was an orthopedic nurse for five years at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ. Upon graduation, she immediately began her career as a pain management nurse practitioner.

Lauren was chosen to speak about Pain Management/Opioid Crisis at the Saint Barnabas Medical Center Nursing Excellence Conference in 2018. When asked what brought Lauren to the medical field, she responded " I had brain surgery as a child, and knew that I wanted to take care of others the way I was cared for during my recovery. I originally went to school/began a career in Business Marketing but knew something was always missing; causing me to pursue my dream of becoming a nurse."

Lauren was born and raised in Northern Jersey. Outside of the office, you can find Lauren enjoying the fresh air (especially near or on water)! She loves spending time boating, swimming, going to the Jersey Shore, and visiting her family's lake house in the Adirondacks. Lauren loves spending time with her beautiful family, husband and daughter.

Fun Fact: Lauren was an avid swimmer and athlete growing up. Although this may come at no surprise with the spirit and joy she portrays, Lauren was her college mascot (The Bobcat) for one year at Quinnipiac!

Dr. Dipan Patel is a board-certified anesthesiologist and interventional pain physician at Garden State Pain & Orthopedics. His special interests include Botox® for chronic pain disorders, trigeminal neuralgia, temporomandibular joint disorders, and headache and chronic migraine. Upon graduation, Dr. Levy completed her internship at North Shore-LIJ Plainview Hospital and her residency in physiatry at the prestigious Rusk Institute at New York University Hospital in New York City. Andrew So, MD, is a board-certified anesthesiologist and interventional pain management physician at Garden State Pain & Orthopedics with offices in Edison, Clifton, Hazlet or Jersey City, New Jersey. Dr. So believes that each patient’s care should be personalized and strives to ensure the highest level of comfort and compassion through a multi-modal treatment approach. His specialties include neck pain, back pain, spine pain, post-laminectomy syndrome, headache pain, migraine pain, joint pain, knee pain, shoulder pain, hip pain, neuropathy, acute, and post-surgical pain syndromes, and complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), amongst others.

Dr. So attended the University of Michigan, where he graduated as an Angel Scholar with a Bachelor of Science in Brain Behavior & Cognitive Sciences. He received his Doctor of Medicine from Virginia Commonwealth University as a distinguished merit scholar, where he was also voted class president by his peers for his leadership abilities. 

He then went on to complete his residency in Anesthesiology at Albert Einstein University of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center.  During his residency, Dr. So was honored by his peers and faculty with the highly coveted Leo M. Davidoff Society Outstanding Teacher Award.  

Following residency, Dr. So completed fellowship training at Albert Einstein University of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center specializing in interventional pain management, where he served as a chief administrative fellow. Dr. Neil Sinha provides comprehensive interventional pain medicine at Garden State Pain & Orthopedics, where he tailors individual treatment options to the unique needs of each patient. Dr. Sinha uses a multi-pronged approach to managing pain, including interventional pain techniques, minimally-invasive surgeries, medical management, and physical and behavioral therapy. Dr. Sinha attended George Washington University, then earned his Doctor of Medicine from American University of Antigua College of Medicine. He went on to complete his residency and fellowship training in interventional pain medicine at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

During his fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, he trained with the top physicians in the field of pain management. His dedication to the advancement of the field can be seen through his numerous publications that contribute to the study and treatment of pain medicine.

Dr. Sinha lives in New Jersey with his wife, Arpita, and son and daughter. When he’s not in the office, his interests include reading, tennis, skiing, and cooking.

Philip Wallace, MD, is a renowned physician and interventional spine and sports medicine expert at Central Oregon Spine & Sport in Bend, Oregon. Dr. Wallace is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation, and specializes in the nonsurgical management of acute and subacute musculoskeletal injuries and remote intraoperative monitoring.

After earning his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee, Dr. Wallace completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He followed that with fellowship training in interventional spine and sports medicine at Southwest Spine & Sports in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Dr. Wallace opened Central Oregon Spine & Sports in February 2017. He takes a natural and conservative approach to treatment and tries to help his patients get off of pain medications and find relief by alternative means. He’s on the forefront of a burgeoning medical field that integrates platelet-rich plasma (PRP), stem cells, and prolotherapy to help patients alleviate musculoskeletal pain by rehabilitating and regenerating healthy tissue.

Before finding his passion in medicine, Dr. Wallace was a professional musician based in Nashville. He spent over a decade playing guitar as a major label touring and recording artist, and even played on the Conan O’Brien Show and at the Grand Ole Opry. He was ultimately inspired to pursue medicine after reflecting on the legacy of his father, a revered orthopedic surgeon in Beaumont, Texas, who was paralyzed from the waist down from a rare autoimmune malfunction and worked out of a wheelchair.

When he’s not working with patients, Dr. Wallace leads an active lifestyle with his wife, Carrie, and their two children, Scott and Audrey. He’s a passionate fly fisherman, bird hunter, and photographer. He also has successfully climbed Mt. Hood, and has completed the MS 150 three times with his son. When he’s taking it easy, he enjoys playing one of the guitars from his 19-piece collection, particularly his Fender Telecaster, which wails blues like nobody’s business.

Emily Sudek, MD, brings extensive expertise as a board-certified anesthesiologist and pain medicine specialist to The Woodlands Sports Medicine Centre in The Woodlands, Texas. Specializing in addressing a wide array of pain issues, from back and joint discomfort to nerve and cancer-related pain, Dr. Sudek employs various advanced treatments, including joint injections, nerve blocks, and radiofrequency ablation.

Her patient-centered approach, combined with adept procedural skills, fosters meaningful connections with patients and ensures successful outcomes. With a background in athletics, she comprehends exercise-related concerns across different age groups and activity levels, collaborating with fellow experts to optimize results efficiently.

Raised in Kingwood, Texas, Dr. Sudek earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from The University of Texas at Austin with high honors, later achieving her medical degree from the McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston in Houston, Texas. Following her residency in anesthesiology at SUNY Upstate in Syracuse, New York, where she served as chief resident, she pursued further specialization in pain management at MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Dr. Sudek maintains active membership in professional organizations, such as the American Society of Anesthesiologists, and upholds her advanced qualifications through ongoing education. Eagerly welcoming patients to The Woodlands Sports Medicine Centre, she aims to provide effective pain relief and enhance their quality of life.

Renato Vesga, MD, is a dual board-certified physician by the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation in both Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine. With extensive training and clinical expertise, he specializes in diagnosing and treating the full spectrum of spine, musculoskeletal, and pain-related disorders at Anchor Spine & Joint, located in Tampa, Riverview, Odessa, Pinellas Park, and Lutz, Florida. 

His advanced skills include performing interventional spinal procedures, electrodiagnostic studies, and implanting neuromodulation systems to help patients manage chronic pain and improve function. Originally from New York City, Dr. Vesga completed his undergraduate studies at Columbia University before earning his medical degree at MCP Hahnemann School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 

He went on to complete his internship at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh and a residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. To further refine his expertise, Dr. Vesga pursued an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine at Temple University Hospital/Mid Atlantic Spine and Pain Physicians.

Following his fellowship, Dr. Vesga remained as a clinical instructor for fellows and residents at Temple University’s Pain Medicine Fellowship Program. He has also co-authored medical articles and book chapters on spine and pain-related disorders, contributing to the advancement of his field.
