I'm new patient with Dr. Gilbert, he was a referral from my previous eye Dr. to perform cataract surgery on my glaucoma ridden eyes. All my interaction with Dr. Gilbert and his staff has been very pleasant, professional and efficient. I am hoping to stay with him going forward, as my previous Dr. closed her practice and I feel very comfortable and confident with Dr. Gilbert's glaucoma speciality.

Unfortunately can not say the same for his help and office staff . Never encountered such unpleasant, moody , pouty , unhelpful Group of young women , yes all of them . Same treatment on the phone

My mother has been suffering from dry eyes and cataracts for over ten years. Her dry eyes are always very uncomfortable, and she needs to use eye drops four to five times a day just to get some relief. Combined with the cataracts, her vision is affected. I spoke with Dr. Yen Cheng Hsia on the phone to explain the situation and then scheduled an appointment with him for yesterday afternoon. My mother and I are very grateful for Dr. Hsia’s thorough examination and patient explanations, especially considering my mother is elderly and has hearing difficulties. Over the years, I’ve taken her to different ophthalmologists, but Dr. Hsia is the first to show such professionalism, dedication, and genuine care for his patients. He conducted a detailed examination and carefully explored potential causes of the symptoms, including checking whether her tear ducts were blocked and explaining why this was necessary. After the examination, he told us that the current focus should be on treating her dry eyes. Once these symptoms improve, cataract surgery may be considered in a year. On the way home, my mother was very happy. She said she felt reassured and lucky to have found such a dedicated and professional doctor
Dr. YenCheng Hsia Was great. I was seeing black spots with my left eye but after a full examination it was clear there were no serious problems. Pat his assistant was also wonderful and very professional. Love these guys.

The clinic was easy to find and get to, had lots of parking, and the office building was nice with very clean restrooms. There was a row of 4 staff to check me in when I got there---no waiting. The paperwork was easy to fill out. The form asked for my social security number which I never give out. The tech who gave me my vision field test and visual acuity test was very congenial and professional. I think her name was Samarna. I didn't have to wait long to see Dr. Hsia, either. He is trying to determine if I have glaucoma or not. My case is very difficult because I have a damaged optic nerve which could have been caused by glaucoma or by the retinal detachment which I had. He is going to monitor it to see if the problem gets worse, which would indicate glaucoma. I appreciate Dr. Hsia taking his time on the diagnosis and not rushing into any treatments without a full evaluation which will take some months. I have confidence in Dr. Hsia's expertise and will be happy to have him treat me in the future and would recommend him and this office to others.
