At Gateway Gastroenterology in Chesterfield, Missouri, we specialize in digestive health and liver disease. Our board-certified gastroenterologists and advanced nurse practitioners provide consultations and services in a friendly, clear and understandable way to provide you with the best possible care. Our highly-trained physicians specialize in diagnosing and treating a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, including acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and liver disease. We work together as a group; however, each patient is cared for by a single gastroenterologist. Continuity and trust is built by maintaining stable and long-lasting relationships. For emergencies, a Gateway gastroenterologist is available to answer your call.

In addition to patient care at our main office in Chesterfield, Gateway Gastroenterology performs colonoscopy and upper endoscopy procedures at Gateway Endoscopy Center (Saint Louis), Saint Louis Multi-Specialty Surgery Center (Ballwin), and St Luke’s Hospital (Chesterfield). The team performs diagnostic tests like capsule endoscopies, breath tests, and infusion services right in our main office. Ask about Saturday hours at Gateway Endoscopy Center for routine procedures.

Dr. Haas has a calm and comforting persona that I did appreciate as I faced my procedure. I felt like I was heard and cared for. The Nursing Staff was amazing too, for the same reasons- very approachable during what I consider to be a really delicate event. I had a long overdue and first in my life colonoscopy with Dr. Ramgopaul yesterday, early afternoon. (SORRY if I misspelled his name!) The staff working for him were pleasant in the contacts/info leading up to it. The prep part was the hardest, and my only suggestion would be to have known more options of the liquid you have to drink, there are different varieties, but perhaps they are supposed to just pick, or have a preference, but ask now that I have put the info out there to share. Facility great, ready in and out, private unit to wait and recover. Prep and anesthesia staff were wonderful! Caroline and Tracy took good care of me. Dr. Rom came in and spoke with my husband, and I after, very personable and caring. I came out clean, no unexpected reports, and questions answered, Dr. R and all the staff before and after gave great care. Thank you! Yes I highly recommend them! But I don't have to go back till I'm 75!
