Nayyar Afroz, MD, is a board-certified child, adolescent and general psychiatrist who graduated from Dow Medical College in Pakistan. She moved to the US and finished her residency at the University of Illinois Chicago campus followed by a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Chicago. She has been practicing for over 17 years in private, community, and public sector roles. She utilizes insight oriented, interpersonal mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral approaches. She completed her training in 2005 and she is board certified from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She held a position of assistant professor of psychiatry at the Department of Psychiatry at Albany Medical College from 2005 until 2012 when she moved to Illinois to practice community psychiatry. Dr. Hasabou is interested in her patient’s day to day experience, their backgrounds, their families, communities and cultures which enhances her ability to be empathetic and effective physician. Her clinical focus areas are women’s mental health and psychopharmacology.
Semone West, MD is board certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Adult Psychiatry. She has provided psychiatric care for over 20 years in a variety of settings to children, adolescents, and adults with a holistic approach to evaluate and treat all of the different types of mental illness
