Dr. Humberto Caro received his B.A. in Biology at the University of Puerto Rico, San Juan and then attended medical school at Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. From there, he went on to complete a residency in psychiatry at Drexel University College of Medicine and at Ponce Health Sciences University in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Following his residency, Dr. Caro completed a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Ponce Health Sciences University. He joined My Psychiatrist in July of 2017.

I am a dual certified Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner and Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. My professional nursing career spans over 18 years with a focus on psychiatry, addiction medicine, medical-surgical nursing and oncology. ​In 2003 I completed my Associates of Science in Nursing at Santa Fe College in Gainesville, Fl. From there, I earned my Bachelors of Science in Nursing at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL in 2006. As I continued my trend of moving South, I completed my Masters of Science in Nursing from Florida Atlantic University in 2009. As a nurse practitioner I have worked with some of the top psychiatrists and addictonologists in South Florida providing me with in-depth training, mentorship, clinical oversight and continued use of up to date evidence based medicine. As a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I aspire to help, advocate and treat those who are struggling with mental health challenges. I have been in the medical profession for over 25 years. I started my career as a Medical assistant and then transitioned into Nursing where I spent the majority of my time working as an Oncology Nurse. In 2011, I elected to go back to school to obtain my Master's in Nursing, as a Family Nurse Practitioner and later on obtained my certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Mental Health has always been my passion. My expertise and experience enable me to treat patients with psychiatric disorders across the lifespan. It is my goal to treat each patient as a whole, focusing on mental health screening, assessing, treating while providing an empathetic listening.

Muhammad Nawaz is a seasoned psychiatric nurse practitioner with over six years of experience in various psychiatric settings. His diverse practice includes working in psychiatric hospitals, nursing homes, detox centers, adolescent correctional facilities, and LGBT community centers. This broad range has sharpened his patient care approach, emphasizing holistic and inclusive mental well-being. Rather than solely relying on medication, Mr. Nawaz adopts a multifaceted strategy. He focuses on building a robust trust bond with each patient and tailors treatments to navigate the intricate emotional and psychological terrains of mental health. Before entering psychiatry, He dedicated seven years to serving as a U.S. Army medic. This tenure imbued him with unparalleled discipline, commitment, and deep empathy. Dr. Micic specializes in neurology and pediatric neurology. She earned her medical degree from the University of Nis Faculty of Medicine, serving multiple locations across NY. Dr. Micic completed an internship at Clinical Center Nis in Serbia after obtaining her medical degree. Later, she also completed her fellowships in child neurology, one at the University of Belgrade, Serbia, one at the State University of New York, Stony Brook and another at the Baylor College of Medicine, Texas Children’s Hospital. Highly qualified, she also completed her residency in pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of New Jersey at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. Dr.

Samuel Apeatu, MD, is a skilled, board-certified neurologist practicing at Complete Neurological Care. The practice has locations in Forest Hills and Queens, and the Financial District, Midtown, and in Manhattan, plus Valley Stream and Hicksville, New York. Additionally, in offices in Boca Raton and Boynton Beach, Florida.

Dr. Apeatu obtained his medical degree from the University of Ghana Medical School in West Africa. Dr. Maja Ilic is an American Board Certified Pediatric Neurologist, Epileptologist, and Neurophysiologist with over 15 year of experience. Dr. Ilic also holds board certifications from The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).

She completed her Pediatrics residency at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, NY and Neurology training at State University of New York after which she enrolled into a highly competitive combined neurological fellowship in Epilepsy and Clinical Neurophysiology (NCS/EMG/EP/EEG) at Columbia University New York-Presbyterian Hospital, NYC, one of the best Comprehensive Epilepsy Centers in the country.

Dr. Ilic has co-authored research papers and medical reviews in the areas of Pediatric Neurology, Epilepsy, and Neurophysiology. She provides general and specialized care to children and adults with conditions related to the brain and nervous system.

Dr. Vikas Shetty obtained his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C.. He subsequently completed a medical internship at Northwell Health- North Shore- Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, New York. Dr. Shetty then completed his neurology residency at the same institution, where he gained extensive experience in managing a wide range of neurological conditions. 

He was later awarded a fellowship in epilepsy at Northwell Health, focusing on advanced epilepsy care, including interpreting complex EEGs and managing refractory epilepsy cases. Dr. Shetty is board-certified in neurology and epilepsy by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. His professional interests include epilepsy management and clinical neurophysiology.

Dr. Ellen Edgar is the president of Complete Neurological Care, P.C. in New York and Florida. She is an American Board Certified Neurologist who holds double board certification from The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) and The American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology (ABCN).

Saiqa Ismail, MD, offers comprehensive adult psychiatric services at her practice, Ismail MD PA, in Coral Springs, Florida. Since finishing her post-graduate psychiatric training, Dr. Ismail has gained extensive clinical experience. She served as a consultant psychiatrist at several medical centers in Dubai, UAE. She also worked as the staff psychiatrist at Henderson Behavioral Health in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Dr. Ismail has been practicing for several years , providing community-based outpatient services, including medication management and individual psychotherapy.

Robert J. Friedman, M.D. is triple board-certified in Neurology, Pain Management, and Neuromuscular Medicine.
