“Dr. Vitolo is an exceptional psychiatrist and was able to provide some very thoughtful insight into my personal situation. I would highly recommend him for mental health support and to better understand your thoughts and the inner workings of your mind. His practice takes a holistic approach to psychiatry and he will also inquire about what you are doing for your overall health, which can contribute to your mental health. Highly recommend him!”
I am a dually certified nurse practitioner in both psychiatric mental health and family medicine. I began my nurse practitioner career in family medicine in a small rural community in Vermont where I enjoyed taking care of the physical and mental health of individuals and families. More recently, I worked in college health where I spent much of my time caring for the psychiatric needs of students. I found that I loved taking care of my patients-providing lifestyle counseling, integrative approaches and medication.
Fueled by this newfound passion I returned to Regis College for a post-master’s certification in psychiatric mental health. In my practice, I am committed to allow for time to facilitate therapeutic relationships and trust with my patients with a compassionate and open approach. I work with patients in a collaborative way to empower and educate them to participate in their treatment, working toward their goals for optimal wellness.
I am a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner who works alongside clients to assess, diagnosis, and treat mental health concerns through medication management. I value patient centered and collaborative care to make sure the focus of treatment is on what matters most to you.
Through my work at MGH, Mclean, and the Bedford VA, I have worked closely with clients throughout the stages of their treatment. I particularly enjoy introducing people to mental health treatment. I spend time educating to diagnosis and treatment options. We will discuss medication options as well as other ways of managing mental health concerns.
