Brandy Franklin is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner specializing in pediatric populations. After receiving her Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from Breckinridge School of Nursing in 2016 and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Western Governors University in 2018, she obtained her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Northern Kentucky University in 2022 and is Board Certified by the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC). Brandy also completed her SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) certification in 2022, which prepares Registered Nurses to provide comprehensive care to sexual assault victims. Brandy is an LGBTQ+ affirming practitioner and an ally to the community. In addition to providing mental health services at a small clinic in Mt. Sterling, KY, she also teaches psychiatric medication management to Morehead State University Nursing students during their clinical rotations at UK Eastern State Hospital.
Hoyt has been a Critical Care Registered Nurse for the last 10 years. During the COVID-19 pandemic he witnessed a major lapse in the provision of mental health services. This led to his transition into the field of Psychiatric Mental Healthcare in order to provide a customized and client-centered approach in the field of mental health. He currently holds a Masters of Nursing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Northern Kentucky University and is Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
I chose to go into the counseling profession to help others who struggle with addiction or mental health disorders. I am passionate about providing empathetic support while delivering high quality patient care. There was a time that I struggled with my own addiction and mental health issues. When I finally got sober, my goal was to help others who share those struggles. I am now nearing my 12th year of sobriety and look forward to continuing my passion of working to help others. Some of the things I enjoy outside of work include spending time with my family, raising chickens, growing my own vegetables, and developing my spiritual relationship with God.

Dr. Michael Kindred, M.D. attended the University of Colorado School of Medicine and is formally trained and board certified in General Surgery and Addiction Medicine.
He served on faculty at UK, where he developed and implemented several addiction medicine programs that ranged from inpatient and outpatient consultation and educational services to overseeing the Addiction Medicine Fellowship program. His treatment philosophy is multi-dimensional and he considers all aspects of an individual as equally important. Dr. Kindred is also a certified medical review officer.
Hello! I’m Dr. Parsons and I am board certified in Psychiatry, Consult Liaison Psychiatry, and Hospice & Palliative Medicine. I also have experience in Women’s Mental Health, psychiatric clearance for surgery and/or transplant, and ICU settings.
