During psychiatry residency at Wake Forest University I had to write a personal statement to apply for a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship. It had to be good and truthful. Thinking about my experience with children in Argentina where I went to medical school while working for a church as a tutor for poor children. In USA as I re-validated the Medical Doctor degree working as a Physician Assistant for two pediatricians, and having four children of my own, concluded "I probably didn't give them much but I gave them my best to help them through parts of this journey called life", and "I received a lot in return that made me today almost as resilient as they were". Fast forward, looking back into more recent years and working mostly with adult patients now, I feel the same. I am dual board certified child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist. I see clients from age 12 and up. As a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist with expertise in both medication management and psychotherapy, I can help patients develop a treatment plan that meets their needs. Medical College in India before going on to Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio to complete an Internal Medicine residency followed by neurology residencies at Loyola Medical Center in Chicago and the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. Following completion of his residencies, Dr. Pawar completed Fellowships in Vascular Neurology at the University of Pennsylvania, Endovascular Neurosurgery and Interventional Radiology at Abington Memorial Hospital in Pennsylvania, and Advanced Vascular Neurology at the Medical University of South Carolina. He is coming to us from Duke University Medical Center where he served as Stroke Medical Director. He is widely published. He has varied interests and has participated in multiple clinical trials.
