Michelle Kaplan, MD is a board-certified psychiatrist with over 20 years of experience providing evidence-based psychiatric care to adults. She specializes in the treatment of mood disorders, anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, psychotic disorders, chemical dependency, and dual diagnosis conditions. Dr. Kaplan offers thoughtful, individualized care with a focus on medication management, psychotherapy, and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). I am double Board Certified in General Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. I listen carefully and with no judgement, only compassion. I ask questions, order laboratory data and collect rating scales before coming to a working diagnosis. I provide psycho-education on condition(s) and discuss various treatment options before determining an individualized treatment plan. I’m always eager to answer any questions and I’m open to feedback. Finally, I provide brief psychotherapy and other mental health interventions during sessions on an as needed basis whenever time allows. I may make referrals to clinical psychologists or mental health and/or substance use counselors when appropriate.
