Nashwa Hasabout, MD received her medical degree from University of Szeged in Hungary. She did her training in psychiatry at Albany Medical College, Albany, NY, which has an excellent residency program devoted to training psychiatrist in psychotherapy treatment modalities that can be an effective tool used independently or in combination of psycho-pharmacological treatment to achieve emotional wellness. She completed her training in 2005 and she is board certified from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She held a position of assistant professor of psychiatry at the Department of Psychiatry at Albany Medical College from 2005 until 2012 when she moved to Illinois to practice community psychiatry. Dr. Hasabou is interested in her patient’s day to day experience, their backgrounds, their families, communities and cultures which enhances her ability to be empathetic and effective physician.
