He worked in private practice early in his career for about 6 years. Dr. Amaya relocated to the Washington, DC area. He continued his education at the University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Dentistry, where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Dr. Amaya is licensed in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC. He has been working in the Washington, DC area since 2019.
Dr. Amaya enjoys practicing dentistry; he has helped a diverse population. with procedures that include restorative work such as crowns, fillings, bridges, as well as complete and partial dentures, root canals, and extractions. He is passionate about dentistry in general. He periodically takes continuing education courses. To be up to date with materials and techniques that help him deliver the best dental experience possible to his patients.
Dr. Amaya is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Southern Maryland Dental Society. Also, he volunteers for different organizations, in the United States and abroad, helping underserved communities. Dr. Wonje Cha is a highly experienced provider in cosmetic dentistry and dental implants, proudly serving patients at two C&R Dental Care locations in Centreville and Tysons, Virginia.
A graduate of the University of Maryland Dental School, Dr. Cha went on to complete advanced clinical training in general dentistry, oral surgery, and endodontics at York Hospital in Pennsylvania. He later brought his skills to Northern Virginia, where he practiced in a group setting and further developed his expertise in cosmetic and implant dentistry.
In 2003, Dr. Cha co-founded C&R Dental Care with Dr. James Ryee. What began as a private practice in Virginia has since grown into a trusted multi-location dental group known for its compassionate, high-quality care.
Dr. Cha is committed to lifelong learning and staying at the forefront of dental advancements. He is a proud Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, reflecting his dedication to excellence and continuing education.

Dr. Tavakkoli earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine from Temple University School ofDentistry in 1998. He also completed a year-long externship in implantology. He has completed advanced studies at LVI Global, an international institution dedicated to the progress of dentistry and improving the lives of patients. After graduating from Temple University, he practiced in the Philadelphia area before moving to Northern Virginia with his family.
He is a preferred Lumineers provider, a member of the Sleep Apnea Society, and a Preferred Invisalign® Provider. He has worked with Invisalign since 2000, when it first became available to the public. He has been recognized by Northern Virginia Magazine and Virginia Living Magazine as a Top Dentist and by The Consumers’ Research Council as one of America’s Top Dentists.
On a more personal note, Dr. Tavakkoli is married and has two daughters. He treasures his time with his family. He also enjoys playing soccer, tennis, reading, and is an avid sports fan.
Leah Coutts, DMD, is an Associate General Dentist at Nova Dental Partners in Alexandria, Woodbridge and Fairfax, Virginia. She is committed to providing quality dental care while simultaneously creating a gentle, comfortable, and friendly environment for each patient. She prides herself on understanding each patient’s unique needs and making each patient feel at home in our office.
She received her undergraduate degree in Behavioral Neuroscience before she attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine for her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD). Shortly after, she completed an Advanced Education of General Dentistry Residency at the University of Connecticut. Although her formal education has come to a close, Dr. Coutts believes in the never-ending advancement of knowledge through continued education courses.
Dr. Coutts is a Boston native. When she is not in the office, she enjoys taking trips to New England to visit family and friends. She loves to try new restaurants/cuisines, travel, and spend time with her loyal canine companion, Zoey.
