Dr. Alter previously was a faculty physician at Sheba Medical Center and a regional health specialist at Maccabi Health Center in Israel. Alina Fuchs MD MBS BS has obstetrics and gynecology and medicine in her genes. Her aunt Dr. Smekuna was the delivering OB/Gyn with her birth. Her uncle Dr. M Fuks and Dr. A. Fuks are both practicing physicians, her mother Dr. M Fuchs is a dentist. And her husband Dr. Alexeev is a current pain management fellow. 

She received bachelor of science from Rutgers University. Master’s degree of biomedical sciences at UMDNJ. Medical degree from American University of Antigua, College of Medicine. She completed her internship in obstetrics and gynecology at Nassau University Medical Center and her residency training at Maimonides Medical Center where she served as a chief resident. 

Dr. Fuchs offers a full spectrum of women’s health services, including pap tests, contraception counseling, STD testing, LEEP, and sterilization. After graduating she has been practicing in central New Jersey where she provides care to women in all stages of their life; from family planning to menopause. She is fluent in Russian. 

When she is not with patients, Dr. Fuchs loves spending times with her family. Her husband and son.

Jen Wilen saw her first birth as a Peace Corps Volunteer in West Africa nearly 20 years ago and knew then that she wanted to become a midwife. After the Peace Corps, Jen got her Masters in Public Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She then spent a decade working in global health and women's rights, spending much of that time overseas. She later obtained both her Bachelors of Science in Nursing and her Masters in Midwifery from Columbia University. Prior to joining Boro Park, Jen worked as a Certified Nurse Midwife at Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center in Brooklyn. Jen speaks both Spanish and French and loves caring for women and babies from all of the wonderfully diverse communities that call Brooklyn their home.
