Lillian Schapiro, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified gynecologist serving patients at Ideal Gynecology, LLC, with locations in greater Atlanta, Georgia proudly serving the communities of Stockbridge, Conyers, Locust Grove, Hampton, Covington, Jackson, Buckhead, Vinings, Smyrna, Roswell, Alpharetta, Midtown, and Sandy Springs, GA. Dr. Schapiro has called Atlanta home for over 20 years. A native of Pittsburgh, Pennyslvania, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University. She graduated from Albert Einstein College of Medicine with Honors in Obstetrics and Gynecology and was awarded an International Fellowship to work at a hospital in Kenya. She completed her residency at UNC Chapel Hill, where she served as Chief Resident. Always interested in preventive medicine, she published her research on cervical cancer screening in Bali, Indonesia.
A global women's health advocate, Dr. Schapiro has practiced around the world. As a medical student, she wrote a paper comparing obstetric outcomes in a rural hospital in Kenya with a hospital in the Bronx, New York. As a Chief Resident, she published her original research on cervical cancer screening in Bali, Indonesia. More recently, she received the Caring for Congo Award from the Dikembe Mutombo Foundation for gynecologic surgery performed in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Dr. Schapiro was the U.S. leader for Projet Myome and has been on three missions to the DRC helping women with fibroids and training local doctors. She has also trained physicians and birth attendants in Nepal.
Dr. Schapiro believes that every patient is unique, and she enjoys discussing their concerns and coming up with a treatment plan together. Her specialties include irregular bleeding, heavy periods, fertility problems, fibroids, pelvic pain, endometriosis, and incontinence.
Dr. Schapiro is often called upon by CNN as well as local news outlets for her medical expertise. She maintains a YouTube channel to educate people about women's health.
Dr. Schapiro and her husband, Robert Schapiro, are the parents of three daughters. She is the author of Tick Tock, a novel chronicling her own struggles with infertility.
Xiaoyan Emma Li is a board-certified Women's Health Nurse Practitioner at Ideal Gynecology, LLC. Xiaoyan is dedicated to supporting women throughout Atlanta, Georgia, in their health care.
Xiaoyan Li completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Kennesaw State University. Inspired by her experience as a postpartum nurse, Xiaoyan decided to pursue her Master of Science in nursing at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she specialized in women’s health. After completing her degree, Xiaoyan began working as a women’s health nurse practitioner, providing compassionate care to women across their lifespan.
Xiaoyan provides comprehensive care to gynecological clients. She enjoys taking care of women for annual exams, gynecological problems, hormonal and menopause issues, contraception, and, of course, pregnancy. In addition to her clinical skills, Xiaoyan is known for her patient-centered approach to care. She takes the time to listen to her patient’s concerns and works collaboratively with them to develop personalized treatment plans that meet their unique needs.
Outside of her work as a women’s health nurse practitioner, Xiaoyan Li is a devoted mother to her two children. She takes great pride in their accomplishments and enjoys spending quality time with them whenever possible. Xiaoyan is also an animal lover and has two cats who are beloved members of her family. Xiaoyan’s nurturing and caring nature extends beyond her work as a nurse practitioner and is evident in her personal life as well.
Nathan Mordel, MD, is a board-certified gynecological surgeon at Atlanta Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery Center in Atlanta, Georgia. He specializes in advanced robotic, laparoscopic, vaginal pelvic surgery, including for fibroids, endometriosis, heavy and/or painful menstrual periods, pelvic organ prolapse, and urinary incontinence.
Dr. Mordel received his medical training at Hadassah Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel, graduating with a degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology. After coming to the United States, he completed a residency in Gynecology and Obstetrics and a fellowship in advanced pelvic surgery at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.

Certain complex cases require multispecialty participation - Dr.Mordel collaborates with robotically trained colorectal, urological and transplant surgeons.

Lauren M. Little, MD, FACOG is an OB/GYN in Atlanta, Georgia. She is proud to serve patients at Atlanta Obstetrics & Gynecology Associates.
Dr. Little was born and raised near Boulder, Colorado. She completed her undergraduate education at the State University of New York at Buffalo, where she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science in anthropology and biomedical sciences.
After receiving her medical degree at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo, she completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Memorial Health University Medical Center, affiliated with Mercer University, in Savannah, Georgia. During her residency, she served as the Administrative Chief Resident for the hospital and received recognition from the Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine for her work in obstetrics.
During her training, Dr. Little became involved in Junior Fellow leadership for the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, holding the title of Georgia Section Vice-Chair. She has been involved in lobbying for maternal health at the state and national levels. She has authored publications on topics involving enhanced recovery at the time of cesarean sections and placental pathology related to preeclampsia.

Julia Samaddar, MD, MPH, FACOG is a board-certified physician serving patients in Atlanta, Georgia providing obstetrics and gynecology services to the Georgia community. After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in biology and chemistry from Emory University in Atlanta, Dr. Samaddar went on to earn a Master of Public Health and Health Informatics from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta.
Dr. Samaddar completed her medical education at the Medical College of Georgia where she received a Doctor of Medicine degree. As she was drawn to surgery and Ob/Gyn care, Dr. Samaddar continued her education at the Medical College of Georgia where she completed her residency in Ob/Gyn. She's received training in high-risk obstetrics, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, gynecology oncology, and urogynecology. In addition to her medical training, Dr. Samaddar has been in several publications relating to breast cancer and antiestrogen resistance. She continued her career at a prominent Ob/Gyn practice at Emory University Midtown Hospital where she also served as a Clinical Professor to help train the next generation of physicians. Dr. Vanoyan completed her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from the University of California, Davis. She received her medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and completed her internship and residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, where she also served as chief resident. As chief resident, she was named outstanding resident in laparoscopic surgery.
Dr. Vanoyan joined Atlanta Obstetrics & Gynecology Associates in April 2002. Jayasri Bukkapatnam, MD, is an OB/GYN serving patients in Atlanta, Georgia. She joined the team at Atlanta Obstetrics & Gynecology Associates in April 2015.
Dr. Bukkapatnam is a graduate of Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, where she received a Bachelor of Science in biology. After receiving her medical degree from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, she completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies (WPHfWB). She was named Assistant Director of Medical Education OBGYN at WPHfWB in 2010, where she was responsible for staffing inpatient labor and delivery, gynecology and triage, as well as the outpatient gynecology clinic. While there, Dr. Bukkapatnam also taught and managed residents and medical students.

Jacqui Fisch, MD, FACOG, is an OB/GYN serving patients in Atlanta, Georgia. She has been with the team at Atlanta Obstetrics & Gynecology Associates since 1998.
Dr. Fisch obtained her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Cape Town Medical School in South Africa. She then completed an internship in general and trauma surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, as well as internal medicine at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg in South Africa. Afterward, she completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, and her fellowship in pelvic imaging.
She is a member of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is affiliated with Piedmont Atlanta Hospital. In addition to her OB/GYN career, Dr. Fisch is trained and works in non-invasive aesthetics.
Dr. Fisch an avid outdoorswoman and loves hiking, horse riding, wakeboarding, and traveling the world with her family. She founded a non-profit organization in Tanzania that promotes and supports education. She lives in Buckhead with her two children and two furry children.
Hayley Scholl, MD, FACOG was previously a clinical instructor in the Obstetrics & Gynecology Department at Mount Sinai Medical Center. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia. During her residency, Dr. Scholl was chosen by her faculty and peers to serve as Chief Resident. She also served on the Memorial Health Wellness Committee, where she helped identify and address resident concerns. Additionally, she was a Resident Lecturer within the South University Physician Assistant Program, lecturing on topics in women's health to physician assistant students, and served as the Research Lead for the Program Improvement Project for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
In June 2021, Dr. Scholl was recognized with the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists Award for Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology. Dr. Beesley was raised in Peachtree City, Georgia. After completing her residency at Columbia University Medical Center in New York and an advanced pelvic surgery fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Umpierrez-Morley joined the team at Atlanta Obstetrics & Gynecology Associates.
At the practice, Dr. Umpierrez-Morley provides a full range of obstetrics and gynecology services. She has a special interest in pelvic surgery, abnormal uterine bleeding, adolescent and sexual health, and contraception management. To better accommodate the diverse communities in the Atlanta-area, Dr. Umpierrez-Morley is also fluent in Spanish.

Heather Laflam, CNM, is a certified nurse-midwife and women’s health nurse practitioner at Nile Women’s Health Care in Roswell, Georgia.
Heather’s goal as a certified-nurse midwife is to make sure no woman has to experience the type of traumatic experience that she went through with the birth of her second child. She wants to help others avoid feeling the way she did. It’s what guided her pursuit to become a midwife.
Originally from Danielsville, GA, Heather attended the Medical College of GA for her bachelors in nursing where she decided she would dedicate her career to helping mothers and babies. After working as a highly-motivated registered nurse in labor and delivery for over a decade she went back to Georgia College and State University for her masters to become a certified nurse midwife.
Now, as an official member of the Nile Women’s Health Care family, Heather will be providing comprehensive care to gynecological, obstetrical, antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum clients. Heather believes, as a society, we need to take better care of our women immediately following the birth of their children. As a result, she focuses on postpartum depression with research and education. As an Alpharetta/Roswell midwife, Heather will deliver at Wellstar North Fulton Hospital.
Heather and her family still call their quaint town home. As a self-described hard worker, she enjoys sewing and embroidering baby items when not at work.
Jigish Sheth, DO, FACOG is a Board Certified OB/GYN at Nile Women’s Health Care in Roswell and Suwanee, Georgia. He is a comprehensive care physician, caring for women during pregnancy and well beyond.
Our Nile team is happy to have such a highly skilled gynecologic surgeon on the team, particularly with minimally invasive procedures such as DiVinci robotic surgery, laparoscopic surgery, and hysteroscopic procedures. While Dr. Sheth is extremely intelligent, he also has a dry sense of humor that keeps both the staff and patients smiling.
Originally from Buffalo, Dr. Sheth received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, NY. He then completed his residency at Rochester General Hospital in Rochester, NY, earning the title of Chief resident prior to graduation.
Prior to living in New York, Dr. Sheth completed his undergraduate studies at Washington University in St. Louis. He graduated with honors with a BA in biology and French plus a minor in biomedical physics.
Dr. Sheth is no stranger to the midwifery model of care. He spent several years in Atlanta where he worked closely with midwives to provide compassionate women’s care to area residents. This makes him a great fit for our family. He understands how doctors and midwives work together offering the most comprehensive care possible.
When not at the hospital or office, Dr. Sheth enjoys spending time outside with his wife and two children. He describes himself as a foodie and loves sports.

Urania Davis, DO, FACOOG is a Board Certified OB/GYN at Nile Women’s Health Care in Roswell and Suwanee, Georgia. She specializes in pre-conception counseling and helping women prepare themselves for successful pregnancies.

Originally from Dominica and raised in St. Croix, Dr. Davis received both a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and a Master of Biomedical Science from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Georgia. She then completed her residency in Miami, Florida, where she served as the chief administrative resident.
Dr. Davis brings extensive knowledge in several areas, including gynecologic robotic surgery, facilitating VBACs, and experience working with birth center patients in Florida. Considered among the top in her field, she garnered a podium finish with a presentation to the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association on her Zika screening research. Dr. Davis also taught anatomy, and physiology, microbiology, and biology as an adjunct professor for both Gwinnett Technical College and Georgia Perimeter College.
When not at the hospital or office, Dr. Davis mentors young women through her church and has completed a mission trip to Kenya. She enjoys any activity that brings her extended family and friends together, going on vacations, plus spending time with her husband and three children.

Trained in the fields of obstetrics, gynecology, bio-identical hormones, and bariatrics, he has the unique expertise to help women through life’s many stages.

Since establishing Nile Women’s Health Care in 2006, Dr. Frederick’s practice has grown to be among the largest women’s care practices serving the Alpharetta and Roswell areas. Known for his friendly bedside manner, Dr. Frederick is most popular for his naturalistic approach to women’s health. Pills and surgery are given as final options, not the first suggestion. His philosophy has garnered him many accolades including being voted one of the best doctors in Roswell and Alpharetta, Georgia.
In addition to Nile Women’s Health Care, he serves as the medical director for Glow Anti-Aging Center and Medical Spa. For the privacy and convenience of several clients, he offers novel therapies for vaginal atrophy, urinary leakage, and vaginal dryness in this full-service, luxury space.
Dr. Frederick currently serves as Chairman of Women’s and Children’s Services at North Fulton Hospital. He is board certified by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, as well as a member of the American Medical Association and the National Medical Association. He is also active in the community, a supporter of the March of Dimes, and is a member of the North Fulton Chamber of Commerce. He is married and has two sons and one daughter.
