Dr. Woodbury was born into a family of physicians and knew from age 4 that she wanted to study medicine. She attended medical school at Columbia University in New York City, New York, and earned several prestigious research awards.

Dr. Woodbury fell in love with obstetrics and gynecology while studying under some of the best OB/GYNs in the world and working with midwives in locations worldwide, including India, Ghana, and London. She flourished in the OB/GYN field and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

Dr. Woodbury completed her OB/GYN residency at Cornell University in New York, earning additional certification in the da Vinci® robotic surgical system. Charla O’Neil, ARNP, CNM, is a Certified Nurse Midwife and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner at Mira Women’s Health & Midwifery in Boca Raton, Florida. 

Charla has been a Certified Nurse Midwife for over 29 years and has a wealth of knowledge in caring for women of all ages. She performs hospital births and full-scope obstetrics and gynecology.

Her past experience includes teaching obstetrics in nursing school, building a midwifery service in a hospital setting, being director of midwifery for a hospitalist group, and private practice. 

She has an outstanding academic background that includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington and a Master of Science degree (Cum Laude) from the University of Illinois. Her residency was in Midwifery at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. 

Charla is board-certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) and is a certified first assistant in obstetrical and gynecology surgery. She is licensed as an Advanced Registered Practice Nurse in the state of Florida, specializing in midwifery.

Completó su formación de residencia en Ginecología y Obstetricia en el Centro Médico Morristown-Atlantic Health System, un afiliado de Sidney Kimmel Medical College en la Universidad Thomas Jefferson. En esta institución fue entrenada en cirugía mínimamente invasiva y cirugía robótica ginecológica.
