Dr Brezina was born and raised in Midland, Texas. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin with a BA from the Plan II honors program with an emphasis in philosophy. He then attended medical school at Texas Tech, and his residency in orthopedic surgery at Louisiana State University Shreveport. From there, Dr. Brezina accepted a position as the AO spine fellow in a one year combined orthopedic surgery/ neurosurgery program at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.
