Rubina Azam, MD, FAAP, ABIHM, is a Fellowship trained and board-certified integrative medicine physician at the Center for Integrative and Holistic Medicine in Panama City, Florida, where she provides comprehensive care to women and children of all ages. Based on the philosophy that every illness develops because of a disturbance in normal physiology that’s triggered by various environmental agents, Dr. Azam focuses on finding and removing the root cause of an illness to alleviate symptoms and reverse disease.
Dr. Azam completed her pediatric residency at Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC, and Austin Children Hospital in Texas. For many years, Dr. Azam worked as a pediatrician running a private practice and rounding at hospitals.

Despite trying many traditional medical treatments, her symptoms were worsening and she turned to functional and integrative medicine for answers. It was through this personal experience that she learned her lifestyle was making her sick, which changed the direction of her medical care.
Dr. Azam recently completed fellowship training in integrative medicine at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona, with world-renowned integrative medicine physician and founder of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine, Dr. Andrew Weil. She is board certified by the American Board of Integrative Medicine, the American Board of Integrative and Holistic Medicine, and the American Board of Pediatrics.
At the Center for Integrative and Holistic Medicine, Dr. Azam takes a holistic approach to care, focusing on her patient’s whole health, not just their symptoms or disease. Some of her areas of expertise include attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), arthritis, autoimmune disorders, and irritable bowel syndrome.
