James E. Honet, MD, is a highly qualified and board-certified anesthesiologist and pain management specialist at Neuro Pain Consultants in Bloomfield Hills, conveniently located in the northern suburbs of Detroit’s metropolitan area, and Clarkston, located in Oakland County in southeast Michigan. His special interests include spinal fractures, spinal stenosis, acute and chronic pain, complex regional pain syndromes, and joint pain.
He began his medical career as an undergraduate student at Michigan State University, where he graduated with honors. Dr. Honet earned his medical degree at Albany Medical College in New York, where he also performed an internship in internal medicine. He continued his post-doctoral education at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, where he completed a residency in anesthesiology. While finishing up his clinical studies, he also earned the Arthur B. Tarrow Research Award for best resident research.

Dr. Honet is a diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology with an additional certification in pain management. He’s a member of several professional societies, including the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the American Pain Society, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia, the Michigan Society of Anesthesiologists, and the International Spinal Injection Society.
Jeffrey Kandt, MD, is a board-certified physician specializing in pain management. He treats patients at Clarkson Pain and Rehab in Clarkston, Michigan.
Raised in Clinton Township, Michigan, Dr. Kandt graduated from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Shortly after graduation, he attended medical school at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit.
Dr. Kandt completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania before returning to the University of Michigan for his fellowship in interventional pain medicine. His commitment to pain relief extends beyond his work with patients to educating future physicians — he’s a guest lecturer at Wayne State University’s Department of Anesthesiology.
He began his medical career as an undergraduate at Michigan State University in East Lansing, where he graduated with honors while double majoring in kinesiology and physiology. Dr. Matway went on to medical school at Wayne State University School of Medicine. He continued onto Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center to intern in preliminary anesthesia/medicine/surgery, and later completed an anesthesiology residency and pain medicine fellowship there.

Dr. Juliet Gaisey is a board-certified physiatrist offering in-home evaluations and treatment for patients across Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne counties.
