MIU Center was created by Dr. Munachim Uyanwune in 2021. Dr. Uyanwune fondly known as “Dr. U” was inspired to create this practice in response to all the turbulent events in 2020, particularly the coronavirus pandemic, racial discrimination and the stigma associated with mental health. While growing up, Dr. Uyanwune saw untreated mental illness in her community. She learned that the impact of this extends wide, affecting the individual, their family and their community at large. At MIU Center, we realize people are unique and hence each person will require different approaches in helping them reach their vision and goals. MIU Center provides medication management for treatment of behavioral health disorders.
“I am very happy with the care I have received from Dr. Uyanwune. She is knowledgeable, patient, and professional. Her demeanor has always put me at ease and inspired trust, and I will miss her when she moves.”
