I am a bilingual Nurse Practitioner who was born in New York and raised in south Florida. I knew from an early age that nursing was a passion of mine. I received my bachelor’s degree from Florida Atlantic University with Magna Cum Laude honors in 2015. I completed a Master’s of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner specialty, at Florida Atlantic University. I have worked in a variety of settings throughout my nursing career providing quality and evidence-based care to all my patients. After working the frontline throughout the COVID pandemic and seeing firsthand the mental health crisis, I decided to pursue a career in psychiatry/mental health. I believe in fostering a safe, therapeutic environment where individual relationships can form and grow. I strive to provide personal care to my patients in order for them to achieve their optimal mental and physical health. I attended UMDNJ, New Jersey Medical School where I received my medical degree, completed residency training in General Psychiatry, and a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. After graduating, I decided to stay within the same organization working as one of the head psychiatrists for a Partial Hospitalization Program. Aside from treating adults and adolescents I also have experience working with young children who benefited from treatment within a Therapeutic Learning Center. As I continued to expand my horizons within the field of Psychiatry, my family and I decided to relocate to the Sunshine state. Since my relocation, I have been working within the private sector with children, adolescents, and adult patients. I favor an inclusive and collaborative approach. I believe in cautious prescribing based on evidence. I strive to provide good quality care that includes patients’ opinions and concerns.

I’ve always been interested in people and their individual stories. This curiosity coupled with my love of science made my career choice quite easy. I grew up between Cairo, Egypt and New York City. After completing medical school at Ain Shams University in Cairo, I moved to Chicago for my psychiatry residency program at Rosalind Franklin University which was a great launching pad for my career in Psychiatry. I am a Board Certified adult psychiatrist with varied experiences in both inpatient and outpatient practice. I am especially interested in pharmacologically challenging cases and handling co-morbidities. I am comfortable with the geriatric population and love to provide supportive therapy as well since psychiatry should never only be about the prescription. I have lived in Florida since 2009 and surrounding by a large extended family with whom I love to spend time and celebrate life. Dr. Pawar is double board certified in Neurology and Vascular Neurology with an interest in hyperacute management of stroke and establishing systems of care. He received his medical degree at B.J. Medical College in India before going on to Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio to complete an Internal Medicine residency followed by neurology residencies at Loyola Medical Center in Chicago and the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. Following completion of his residencies, Dr. Pawar completed Fellowships in Vascular Neurology at the University of Pennsylvania, Endovascular Neurosurgery and Interventional Radiology at Abington Memorial Hospital in Pennsylvania, and Advanced Vascular Neurology at the Medical University of South Carolina. He is coming to us from Duke University Medical Center where he served as Stroke Medical Director. He is widely published. He has varied interests and has participated in multiple clinical trials.

Dr. Ali Hamzehloo is a fellowship-trained neurologist with more than a decade of experience in general neurology, vascular (stroke) neurology, and neurointerventional care. He brings an uncommon combination of clinical depth and advanced procedural training, having completed a fellowship in vascular neurology in the United States at Wayne State University and a clinical fellowship in interventional neuroradiology at the University Hospital of Zurich, Switzerland.

His areas of focus include cerebrovascular disease and stroke, neuromuscular disorders, and seizure disorders. He performs and interprets EMG/nerve conduction studies and EEG and has extensive experience caring for patients in both hospital and outpatient settings—leading stroke teams and managing complex cases within certified stroke centers and neurocritical care units.

Dr. Hamzehloo is also an active clinical researcher. His work on stroke imaging and cerebral edema has been published in peer-reviewed journals including Stroke and Neurocritical Care and presented at national meetings such as the American Academy of Neurology Annual Meeting. He is dedicated to delivering evidence-based, compassionate, patient-centered neurological care to the Broward County community.

Menachem Nagar, MD, is a neurologist with specialized training in vascular neurology. He works closely with patients at The Neurology Institute in Coral Springs and Sunrise, Florida.  Dr. Nagar is fluent in English, Yiddish and Arabic.

Dr. Nagar completed medical school at the Technion Faculty of Medicine in Israel and his neurology training – including residency and fellowship in vascular neurology – at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. 

Dr. Nagar is skilled in diagnosing and treating diverse acute and chronic neurological conditions. He also has strong skills in interpersonal communication, teamwork, and patient care.

Dr. Trevor D. Barton, DO is a board-certified neurologist with advanced fellowship training in vascular neurology. Dr. Barton earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Nova Southeastern University's Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine. During his time there, he was selected for the prestigious Osteopathic Principles and Practice (OPP) Fellowship, where he gained additional clinical and academic training in osteopathic manipulative medicine and holistic patient care.

Following medical school, Dr. Barton completed his neurology residency at HCA HealthONE Swedish Medical Center. He went on to complete a fellowship in Vascular Neurology at the same institution, focusing on acute stroke care, stroke prevention, and advanced neuroimaging.
With board certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Barton is dedicated to improving outcomes for patients with stroke, epilepsy, migraines, multiple sclerosis, and other neurological disorders.

She then ventured into the substance abuse rehabilitation industry and has gained experiences in areas such as minor care complaints, family medicine, primary care, and substance abuse treatment with MAT. Driven by a true passion for helping others, she takes pride in providing the best medical care services possible. As a Family ARNP her goals include providing convenient, holistic, affordable, and comprehensive health care services to the community she services.
