Sara Obringer, PMHNP, is a public mental health nurse practitioner practicing at Pioneer Counseling and Consulting, which has locations in Canonsburg, Washington, and Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania.
From a young age, Sara had a deep desire to help others. That passion ultimately led to a career in nursing. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Carlow University in 2019 and began her career in the ICU at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. During this time, she developed a strong commitment not only to her patients but also to supporting their families through challenging times.
Driven to make an even greater impact, Sara pursued advanced training and earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Duquesne University, graduating as a psychiatric nurse practitioner in 2023. She now provides mental health care with a holistic and lifestyle-focused approach, recognizing the connection between mental and physical well-being. She works with individuals across the lifespan and treats a wide range of mental health conditions, always prioritizing collaboration in the treatment process to ensure each client receives personalized care.
Originally from a family farm in Southwestern Pennsylvania, Sara values balance in all aspects of life. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and their two dogs, traveling, and being with loved ones. She is committed to helping each client become the best version of themselves—mentally, emotionally, and beyond.
