MIU Center was created by Dr. Munachim Uyanwune in 2021. Dr. Uyanwune fondly known as “Dr. U” was inspired to create this practice in response to all the turbulent events in 2020, particularly the coronavirus pandemic, racial discrimination and the stigma associated with mental health. While growing up, Dr. Uyanwune saw untreated mental illness in her community. She learned that the impact of this extends wide, affecting the individual, their family and their community at large. At MIU Center, we realize people are unique and hence each person will require different approaches in helping them reach their vision and goals. MIU Center provides medication management for treatment of behavioral health disorders.
“Dr. Uyanwune has great compassion as a human being and I have deep trust in her skills as a physician and believe she is dedicated to doing everything in her power to help me and others feel better. In her words, “That’s what we’re here for.””
