This week, gain insights into attracting new patients, 2024 coding updates, and more.
January 23 is Maternal Health Awareness Day, an observation focusing on the health and well-being of mothers during and after pregnancy. This is an opportunity for healthcare providers to support expectant and new moms and raise awareness with thoughtful marketing initiatives.
Providers may consider posting informative graphics and messages on their social media pages explaining the day's significance or organizing events like postpartum support groups or educational workshops to engage expectant and new moms in the community (and their loved ones) directly. CHART OF THE WEEK
Tebra surveyed medical practices to discover their planned growth strategies, marketing budgets, and patient engagement initiatives for 2024. The results revealed that many practices need to invest more in marketing each year.
Nearly 1 out of every 10 respondents said they put no money toward marketing. However, most practices dedicate some of their budget to getting the word out about their services and attracting new patients. Over a third of survey respondents indicated they allocate between $100-$4,999 per year on marketing, and 36% of practices spend $5,000-$14,999 annually.
Just 15% of practices put $15,000 or more toward marketing activities annually. At this level, these practices can build their online presence through search engine optimization and pay-per-click campaigns, create custom content, run targeted ads on social platforms, or implement other high-impact strategies to expand their reach.
Leveraging the latest data and perspectives, we created a complete guide to attracting new patients. In this guide, we outline:
