Dr. Ratcliff was born and raised in Austin. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and completed his medical degree at the University of Texas-Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. After a General Surgery Internship at Parkland Memorial Hospital, he remained at UT-Southwestern and Parkland Memorial Hospital to complete a total of six years of research and Otolaryngology training in 2003. Dr. Ratcliff returned home to Austin in 2007 after several years of private practice in Santa Fe, NM. Fiyin Sokoya, MD, is a fellowship-trained, double board certified head and neck oncologic and facial plastic surgeon located in the Atlanta, GA area who has extensive training in all extirpative, reconstructive, and cosmetic procedures of the head, face, and neck. Dr. Sokoya provides expert care to patients throughout the Atlanta, GA area.

Dr. Sokoya graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a bachelor’s degree in biology. He then completed his medical degree at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in Lexington, graduating with distinction. He continued his medical training with an internship and residency in Otolaryngology-Head/Neck Surgery at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Meet Dr. James

 Joshua C. James, MD, is a board-certified ENT specialist who leads his practice in McKinney and Frisco, Texas, by offering state-of-the-art otolaryngology care. Dr. James is a native of Plano, Texas, and enjoys serving those within his community.

Dr. James attended Plano East Senior High School and went on to earn his undergraduate degree in microbiology from The University of Texas at Austin, where he graduated with honors. He completed medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, where he remained for his otolaryngology residency training. He is board certified by the American Academy of Otolaryngology.

During residency, Dr. James completed and published multiple research studies in the field of voice and laryngology. Born and raised in Layton, Utah, Dr. Smedley earned his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University in 2005. He completed medical school at Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2010, where he was selected into a pre-doctoral teaching Fellowship in Osteopathic Manual Medicine. He completed his residency training at Oklahoma State University Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 2015. He served as chief otolaryngology resident for two years (2013-2015) and was honored as Resident of the Year in 2015, which included over 120 residents and fellows from 11 different training programs. After residency, Dr. Smedley stayed in Oklahoma and practiced in a private setting for two years before moving to Arizona. 

Dr. Smedley also speaks Mandarin Chinese, and he served as a volunteer service missionary in Melbourne, Australia (1999-2001). He and his wife lived in Beijing, China, in 2002. They love raising their children and family pets.
