Passionate about patient care, Dr. Oh has special interests in adolescent health, abnormal pap smears, menstrual irregularities, ablations, and minimally invasive surgery. Based in Oak Park, Dr. Lyndon Taylor has treated many women who live in Oak Park and in the near west suburbs of Chicago. A respected OB/GYN, Dr. Taylor is highly trained in Obstetrics and Gynecology with interests in urogynecology and infertility and offers a wide array of services for his patients.
After completing medical school, Dr. Taylor went through a residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Rush University Medical Center. Dr. Taylor became board-certified in 1985 and has been practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology ever since.
During his 30-plus years of experience as an OB/GYN, Dr. Taylor served as the President and CEO of Healthcare For Women, which opened the first OB/GYN office-based surgical facility in Illinois, in 1991. Healthcare For Women was accredited by the Accreditation Association of Ambulatory Healthcare (AAAHC). Presently Dr. Taylor is a COEMIG designated surgeon who performs surgery at Westlake Hospital one of the first hospitals in Illinois to receive the Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology designation. At his office in Oak Park, Dr. Taylor provides everything from routine birth control and pap smears to advanced treatment for fibroid, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, infertility treatments, and treatment of urinary incontinence. My ideal client would be someone who comes into therapy struggling with life’s problems. It could be mental health issues, addiction, relationship problems, family problems, low self-esteem, guilt and shame, or spiritual emptiness. These clients want to be able to function in their life and find some measure of meaning and purpose in order to obtain peace, serenity, and satisfaction.
My approach has always been what Carl Rogers called the power of the “therapeutic relationship”, which includes: unconditional positive regard, compassion, genuineness, empathy, and congruency. We help to empower the client by encouraging them to find their own solutions, which always lie within them. One of my specialties is exploring spirituality.
Empathy is built by establishing a trusting relationship and letting the client know that you fully accept them for who they are. This relationship encourages self exploration, catharsis, and taking positive risks which foster personal growth. I would let the client know that I am there for them and they can tell me anything without judgement.
Maureen Tart, MD, FACOG, NCMP, is a board-certified OB/GYN. Before joining the practice in 2011, Dr. Tart practiced in Chicago for over a decade. She served as Co-Medical Director of her group and held the role of Vice Chair of the OB/GYN department for several years.
Originally from Connecticut, Dr. Tart moved to Chicago for her residency training and has since built a career dedicated to women’s health. She earned both her undergraduate degree in psychology and her medical degree from Georgetown University before completing her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Chicago Hospitals. During her residency, she served as the academic chief resident and trained alongside Dr. Heather B. Heiberger, MD, FACOG, and Dr. Elizabeth Oh, MD, FACOG.
Dr. Tart has a special interest in adolescent health, weight management, infertility care, and menopause management. As a NAMS Certified Menopause Practitioner (NCMP), she is dedicated to guiding patients through every stage of life with personalized, compassionate care. She views her role as an OB/GYN as a partnership—helping patients navigate their health from adolescence through menopause while building lasting relationships with them and their families.
Outside of work, Dr. Tart stays busy with her boys, two Spring Spaniels, yoga, and racquet sports. Her youngest was adopted domestically, which has made adoption advocacy a cause close to her heart. Her decision to move to the suburbs was driven by her children, ensuring they had the best environment to grow and thrive.

Dr. Karen Mass, MD, FACOG, is a dedicated and experienced doctor of medicine and Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists at Women's Specialty Care SC.
From two offices in Lake Forest and Grayslake, Illinois, Dr. Mass provides personal, expert, and compassionate care to all patients. She is the founder and President of Women's Specialty Care SC, one of the premier women’s health medical practices of the north shore of Chicago since 2002.
Learning and furthering education has always been a passion for Dr. Mass. She began her medical studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). Next, she pursued specialty training in Gynecology and Obstetrics at the University of Michigan (UMich), in Ann Arbor.
She was appointed administrative chief resident in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor,, Michigan, and her first academic appointment was as Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh (Pitt) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

She is a member of the North American Menopause Society (NAMS), Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Medical Honor Society, and Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. Mass is certified in Bone Densitometry from the International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD).

Marsha E. Gorens, MD, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist serving the women in and around the Chicago area. With more than twenty-five years of experience as an OB/GYN, Dr. Gorens understands the nuances of women’s health and the role that body image can play.
