Mary Faith Terkildsen, MD, is a board-certified OB/GYN and AASECT-certified sex counselor at Beyond Gyne Health in Gurnee, Illinois. She is passionate about helping women feel their best at every stage of life, with a special focus on sexual wellness and menopause care.

Maureen Tart, MD, FACOG, MSCP, is a board-certified OB/GYN.  Before joining the practice in 2011, Dr. Tart practiced in Chicago for over a decade.  She served as Co-Medical Director of her group and held the role of Vice Chair of the OB/GYN department for several years.

Originally from Connecticut, Dr. Tart moved to Chicago for her residency training and has since built a career dedicated to women’s health. She earned both her undergraduate degree in psychology and her medical degree from Georgetown University before completing her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Chicago Hospitals. During her residency, she served as the academic chief resident and trained alongside Dr. Heather B. Heiberger, MD, FACOG, and Dr. Elizabeth Oh, MD, FACOG.

Dr. Elizabeth Oh, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified OB/GYN. She has been a dedicated member of the practice since 2004.

Dr. Oh earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from Northwestern University before obtaining her medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2000. She then completed her OB/GYN residency at the University of Chicago Hospitals, where she served as academic chief resident. Marsha E. Gorens, MD, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist serving the women in and around the Chicago area. With more than twenty-five years of experience as an OB/GYN, Dr. Gorens understands the nuances of women’s health and the role that body image can play.

Besides providing women’s health care, Dr. Gorens is committed to promoting the importance of healthy skin and improved skin care practices. Her practice strives to renew and rejuvenate all skin types, with an emphasis on mature skin and women of color. Dr. Matthew King is a board-certified gynecologist.  He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign and his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago.  He then completed his specialty training in obstetrics and gynecology here in Chicago at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center where he also served as chief resident.
 
After practicing on the east coast, Dr. King is excited to return home to Chicago and join the Progressive Care for Women team and the staff at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.  His goal as a gynecologist is to provide his patients with individualized evidence-based medical care so they can make informed healthcare decisions and take charge of their health.  
 
His clinical interests include LGBTQ+ healthcare, cervical dysplasia, family planning and contraceptive care, and the management of abnormal uterine bleeding with minimally invasive methods.  Dr. King has a special interest in gynecologic ultrasound and has previously given an oral presentation at the Central Association of Obstetricians / Gynecologists on the role of sonography in the diagnosis of retained products of conception.  In his spare time, Dr. King enjoys traveling the globe with his husband and family, reading anything from a fictional mystery to the latest Ob/Gyn journal, and running around the city.

Michele Hakimian, MD, is a board-certified gynecologist and co-founder at Progressive Care for Women in downtown Chicago. Dr. Hakimian brings over 20 years of experience to the practice.

Dr. Hakimian received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern University and her medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She completed her specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois, where she was named Chief Resident. She is now an attending physician at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and an Assistant Professor at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
