Despite significant advancements in medical science over the past few decades, pelvic health and related disciplines remain largely underserved. Many underlying pathologies affecting pelvic health continue to be poorly understood, resulting in a detrimental impact on individuals' quality of life.
Numerous patients experience pelvic pain and pelvic floor dysfunction, yet the precise causes often elude medical professionals. Ana Bermudez, MD, FACOG is a skilled, board-certified physician specializing in obstetrics and gynecology. Serving patients at OBGYN Westside on the Upper West Side of New York City, Dr. Bermudez welcomes patients from throughout the five boroughs.
Dr. Bermudez received her bachelor’s in International Relations from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, where she was a Davis Scholar. She continued on to Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, to complete her pre-medical studies. Returning to Brown for her graduate studies, Dr. Bermudez earned her medical degree from the Alpert Medical School with academic and public service honors.
Relocating to California, Dr. Bermudez completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of California, Los Angeles. After years of intense study, she was named an attending physician at Stanford Medicine Partners in Northern California. She enjoys providing care in all areas of obstetrics and gynecology, including labor and delivery, preconception, and contraceptive counseling.
Dr. Bermudez especially enjoys building relationships with her patients and seeing them through all stages of their care. She is fluent in English and Spanish and also speaks Portuguese. She is looking forward to becoming a New Yorker!
Justine Kim, MD is a board certified physician specializing in obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Kim is committed to providing each patient with compassionate, skilled and comfortable care.
Dr. Kim attended Columbia University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude specializing in Neuroscience and Behavior. She then went on to SUNY Downstate Medical School where she not only graduated as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society but was also awarded the 41st Annual Chandler McCuskey Brooks Award. This prestigious award is given to one medical student for outstanding achievement in the basic sciences.
Dr. Kim then completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine. Dr. Kim has been awarded several research grants and worked in various research departments throughout her career. She has special clinical interests in laparoscopic surgery and family planning.
When she is not in the office, Dr. Kim enjoys painting, exploring new restaurants and walking her corgi, Frankie, around the park.
