I strive to deliver high-quality telepsychiatry care that utilizes the most recent advancements in psychiatry. I have been a PMHNP for over 11 years in an outpatient setting treating the full spectrum of disorders for adults (and also treated adolescents for 7 of those years). I have been treating adults (18+) only via telemedicine for the past 4 years, and love seeing patients from around the entire state of both Colorado and now Michigan.
I am passionate about providing patient-centered care and in building a therapeutic relationship with my patients. I practice using a holistic approach with supportive therapeutic modalities, along with psychotropic medication management, if needed. I am passionate about treating and improving the lives of those who struggle with ADHD, anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, and other situational stressors in their life. Don't wait any longer, book now and let's get you back to living your best life.

I am a dual certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner who specializes in treating patients across the lifespan. I always had a passion for mental health. One of my passions is helping others take charge of their mental health challenges and turning them into victories. I am remarkably competent and offers compassion while giving my clients the best treatment they deserve. I give a unique and holistic perspective when providing care. Lastly, I believe that partnering with my client in choosing the best treatment options together, will create the best outcomes to moving towards a healthy mindset.
I believe in empathic listening to patients in order to discern the best way to care for them. I think many times people's experiences in health care involve a rushed and one-sided interview and being "told" what to do rather than becoming the center of the own interactive health care experience. Many times people are close to having the answer and insight about their own situation and need a space to explore it with the assistance and guidance of a mental health care provider.
“I had a great follow-up session. Dr Baker's demeanor makes opening up very easy. We are adjusting the dosage of my medication very slightly to address a midday drop in my energy. Another follow-up is scheduled next month. I am really glad I made the move to schedule that first appt. I highly recommend Dr Baker.”

Modern medicine puts body parts in silos which means that we miss opportunities to provide a holistic approach to mental health. There is space for medicine but we also have to integrate nutrition and mindfulness practices to see maximum benefits.
I promise that we will consider all of the facets that impact your mental health. I will do so while communicating with the rest of your team-therapy, primary care, etc, with your permission, and with you.
I also promise to use the fewest medications at the lowest doses to achieve your goals. And, yes, that sometimes means there aren't medications that are appropriate!
My first priority will always be your well-being!
