I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I obtained my MSN from Monmouth University, and became board certified with the ANCC. I have over 10 years of nursing experience in the psychiatric field in emergency crisis with adult clients from ages 18-65. Through my years as a staff nurse, I found my passion for mental health and desired to be apart of the change in ending the stigma surrounded by substance abuse and mental health. I believe in creating an individualized plan of care that values client involvement, inter-professional collaboration and evidenced-based practice. My goal for my clients is to feel empowered to treat their illness through supportive education in a stigma free environment.

Paroma Mitra MD MPH has completed her adult Psychiatry training at Harlem Hospital Center, Columbia University Medical Center. She also trained at NYU Langone School of Medicine in Geriatric Psychiatry and Public Sector Psychiatry. She is board certified in both Adult and Geriatric Psychiatry. She has numerous awards in teaching and training and has presented her work in clinical research both nationally and internationally.
