Dr. Soltmann, a native of Germany, has lived in the Triangle area since 1979. After graduating with degrees in chemistry and microbiology, she received her DDS degree from the UNC School of Dentistry.
Upon completion of her orthodontic residency from the UNC School of Dentistry, she joined the faculty at UNC Department of Orthodontics for two years. She has been treating patients in Raleigh since 1991 in her own private practice.
Concurrently, Dr. Soltmann has also been serving as adjunct faculty in the UNC Department of Orthodontics, where her main focus is the orthodontic treatment and rehabilitation of patients with cleft lip and palate.
Dr. Soltmann is an award-winning quilter. When she doesn’t sit at her sewing machine, she loves to read and participate in citizen science projects. She has two adult sons, both of whom inherited her interest in science and are aerospace engineers.
