Neil Altman, PhD, is a seasoned psychoanalytic psychotherapist at Harlem Family Services, located in the East Harlem community of Manhattan in New York City.

Dr. Altman has many years of experience in community-based work, in public clinics, and in private practice. He is currently co-chair of the section on Community Psychoanalysis of the American Psychoanalytic Association. He is a member of the faculty at the William Alanson White Institute in New York City and at the Massachusetts Institute for Psychoanalysis in Boston. Iyantta Howell, M.D. is a Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist with over 17 years’ experience working in a variety of clinical environments, including inpatient and outpatient settings, prisons, residential treatment facilities, and partial hospital programs. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from The University of Michigan and obtained her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. She went on to complete her Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship training at The University of Pennsylvania’s Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Afterwards, she received her medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and went on to complete her residency in psychiatry at Northwell Health / Zucker Hillside Hospital.

After residency, Dr. Scarbrough completed a fellowship in reproductive psychiatry at The Motherhood Center of New York, where she gained expertise in treating women in the perinatal period.
