Amer Zarka, MD, is a general and interventional cardiologist and managing partner at Good Heart Medical Group, Inc. in Santa Ana and Garden Grove, California. Dr. Kwan earned his medical doctorate at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. He completed his internal medicine residency and cardiovascular disease fellowship at LAC+USC Medical Center / Keck Hospital of USC.

Dr. Reddy graduated from Rangaraya Medical College, Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, in Kakinada, India, in 1982. He completed an internship at Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital in Chennai, India, before relocating to the United States. Dr. Reddy moved to Detroit, Michigan, and completed his internal medicine residency at Wayne State University.

Passionate about his work, Dr. Reddy pursued additional education by completing cardiology and nuclear cardiology fellowships at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. Brenton Bauer, MD, is a board-certified internist and cardiologist at COR Healthcare in Los Angeles. He sees patients at the Torrance, Redondo Beach and El Segundo offices in addition to the cardiology department at Torrance Memorial Medical Center.  He specializes in general cardiology, cardio-oncology, and advanced cardiac imaging.

Dr. Bauer completed his medical education and advanced training at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). In addition to earning his Doctor of Medicine with honors, Dr. Bauer completed an internal medicine internship and residency, serving as chief resident, and a cardiovascular disease fellowship serving as chief fellow. He has been certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in addition to subspecialty boards of Echocardiography, Cardiovascular CT, and Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Bauer has written extensively for medical journals and other publications.

An award-winning physician, Dr. Bauer has been named to the American College of Cardiology’s (ACC) national conference program faculty, as an ACC National FIT (Fellows in Training) Jeopardy Competition finalist, as a finalist for the UCLA Most Outstanding Fellow Teaching Award, and won the best poster presentation in congenital heart disease at the American College of Cardiology’s 2015 conference, among others.

In his leisure time, Dr. Bauer loves traveling the world with his wife and junior high sweetheart.  They particularly enjoy experiencing different cultures, trying amazing food, and learning different languages (to which he is fluent in English and Spanish and working on others including Italian). 

Nadia Jafar Curran, MD, is a board-certified internist and cardiologist at COR Healthcare Medical Associates. She specializes in women’s cardiovascular disease, general cardiology, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology.

Dr. Curran earned her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine, where she received the Gilda Lipton Memorial Award for compassionate care and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She then moved to San Francisco to complete her internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). During her training, Dr. Curran developed a curriculum that focused on women’s heart disease while researching lifestyle interventions in postpartum women with pregnancy complications. This research resulted in multiple presentations and publications, and informed the most recent guidelines on adverse pregnancy outcomes and cardiovascular disease.

Dr. Curran is excited to join COR Healthcare Medical Associates and brings her expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions, including risk factor assessment, prevention, microvascular dysfunction, coronary artery disease, spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD), valvular heart disease, heart failure and cardiomyopathies, preconception counseling, and pregnancy-related heart health.

When she is not taking care of patients, Dr. Curran enjoys spending time with her husband and exploring all that the South Bay has to offer, including swimming, surfing, and great dining.

Ankush Chhabra, MD, is a board-certified internist and cardiologist at COR Healthcare Medical Associates in Los Angeles. At the practice in Torrance and Manhattan Beach, California, he specializes in cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology, and peripheral vascular cardiology. 

Dr. Chhabra earned his medical degree at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee, before moving to Michigan for his internal medicine residency, which he completed at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Dr. Chhabra received advanced training at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), completing a cardiology fellowship in 2004 and an interventional cardiology fellowship in 2005. Ray Wyman, MD, is a board-certified cardiologist specializing in general cardiology, internal medicine, interventional cardiology, and adult congenital heart disease. An experienced cardiologist with more than 20 years in his field, Dr. Wyman serves the community of Los Angeles at COR Healthcare Medical Associates in Torrance, California.

Dr. Wyman earned his medical doctorate from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore before completing his internal medicine residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in the same city. Dr. Wyman developed an interest in cardiology early in his career and later completed dual cardiology fellowships through Boston’s Beth Israel Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

In addition to heart disease and heart attack treatment, anticoagulation management, and high blood pressure treatment, Dr. Wyman performs ongoing research in coronary artery stenting.

Dr. Wyman has many interests and hobbies outside of work. When he isn’t spending time with his wife and four children, he loves playing outdoor sports and cooking gourmet meals at home.

Gaurav Banka, MD, is a board-certified cardiologist with a wide range of experience in both cardiology and internal medicine. Dr. Banka is proud to bring integrative care to the communities of Los Angeles at COR Healthcare Medical Associates in Torrance and Redondo Beach, California.

A longtime academic, Dr. Banka graduated with honors in biology and health policy from Harvard University. Before attending Stanford University School of Medicine, he spent a year building the Indian government's healthcare system with the Clinton Foundation. He later completed his internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Ronald Reagan Medical Center. Dr. Banka is trained in all aspects of cardiology but specializes in cardiac imaging. He’s currently Director of Echo at Torrance Memorial Medical Center and part of the Department of Radiology, where he interprets cardiac CTs. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology, echo, CT, nuclear medicine, and certified in cardiac MRI. He has served on national guideline committees for cardiac care and has published over 20 research publications and presentations at international medical conferences.

With more than eight years of experience, Dr. Banka performs several services at COR Healthcare Medical Associates, including heart disease management, heart attack treatment, valvular disease, congestive heart failure, preventative cardiac care, and treatment for hypertension (high blood pressure) and high cholesterol.
