Vital Clinic and Spa's founder, Harman Buttar, MD completed her training in Family Medicine at The Methodist Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program in Houston, Texas. She is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). Encountered with health struggles in her immediate family, Dr. Buttar began to look into the role of environmental and biochemical factors in determining overall health and response to medical treatments. Liza began her dermatology career in south Florida where she practiced general and surgical dermatology for 2 years before moving to Texas. Brianna Kay, MPAS, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant at Heights Dermatology in New Braunfels and Gonzales and San Antonio.
She earned her Master's in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2012. After graduation, Brianna sub-specialized in medical and surgical dermatology and completed a 10-month internship with a board-certified dermatologist in New Braunfels, TX.
She earned the title of Diplomate Fellow under the Society of Dermatology PAs (SDPA). The SDPA Fellowship Program represents the standard in dermatology physician assistant education, allowing graduates to demonstrate that they have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide exceptional patient care in dermatology.
Brianna has been practicing dermatology for over nine years. She is passionate about patient education and preventative medicine, focusing on helping her patients to understand their health and skin care needs. Due to personal experiences, Brianna takes a special interest in auto-immune conditions, such as psoriasis and hidradenitis suppurativa. Francis Dang, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant at Heights Dermatology in Lake Jackson. She joined the team in 2020.
Francis graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences in Austin, Texas. She then attended the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, where she completed a dietetic internship in the Texas Medical Center and earned a Master in Public Health. Her master’s has a special focus on health promotion and behavioral sciences.
She later returned to her hometown of Dallas, where she worked for six years as a registered dietitian for the UT Southwestern Solid Organ Transplant Program. During that time, her passion and interest for medicine grew, and she decided to pursue a new career as a physician assistant. In 2019, she completed a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Radford University in Roanoke, Virginia.
During her time as a registered dietitian, Francis cared for patients with a variety of medical conditions and learned the importance of patient-centered and preventative healthcare, all based on evidence-based medicine. She carried these values with her throughout her medical training and continues to uphold them as a physician assistant. Her interest and passion for dermatology came after experiencing the inner workings of a dermatology clinic during her clinical rotations. Eva was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico, and moved to the Rio Grande Valley with her family at age 10. She graduated cum laude from St. Edwards University in Austin with a Bachelor’s in Biology in 2017. Eva received several academic scholarships throughout her academic career and maintained a position on the Dean’s List. After college, she spent her first postgraduate year working in the Emergency department and volunteering at rural clinics in Mexico and Peru. Eva then attained her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from The University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley. She is bilingual and motivated to help the Corpus Christi community in their skin needs. Eva’s interest in helping the community and passion for overall skin care is what drove her to pursue a field in dermatology; her interest was further motivated during her clinical rotations. Prior to her arrival at Heights Dermatology, Eva specialized in Internal Medicine in Mcallen, Texas. She is passionate about providing evidence-based care and enjoys staying up to date with new techniques and products out in the market. Zoe Apted, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant at Heights Dermatology in Houston. Joining the Heights Dermatology team in 2019, Zoe brings incredible expertise.
She graduated Summa Cum Laude from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology.
