With more than 40 years of experience working with women in all life stages, Carlos Cardenas, MD, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist serving people in San Antonio, Texas. He provides a wide range of gynecology services, focusing on menopause management, preventive services and well-woman exams, and minimally invasive surgeries.
He completed an internship at Roxborough Memorial Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and his residency training at Drexel University College of Medicine (formerly Hahnemann Medical College) in Philadelphia. Dr. Cardenas is a co-founder of the Institute for Women’s Health, the largest OB/GYN and fertility practice in South Texas.
Dr. Cardenas is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists, Texas Medical Association, and Bexar County Medical Society. After earning her Masters of Science in Women’s Health from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2004, Kelly became a Nurse Practitioner in private practice. Working in various private practices in the Peoria area has given her the opportunity to gain experience treating women for various concerns, as well as providing preventive health to maximize women’s health. Kelly has earned additional certification as a Fracture Liaison Specialist through the Bone Health and Osteoporosis Foundation and thoroughly enjoys treating women with osteopenia and osteoporosis. Dr. Cagnes graduated from Medical School in Italy in 1981. She completed her OBGYN residency in Italy in 1985, where she practiced until 1989. Upon getting married, she relocated to the U.S. in 1989 and became a U.S. Citizen in 1994. Dr. Cagnes completed two years of Family Practice Residency in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1994. In 1997, she completed her second residency at OBGYN in Rochester, New York. In 1997, she was awarded the position of "Clinical Instructor" at the University of Vanderbilt, Nashville, Tennessee. In 1999, Dr. Cagnes moved to beautiful Cape Cod to join the private practice of Dr. Skinner. She has been in solo practice at All Cape Gynecology since 2002. In 2010, Sorgente MedSpa was created as a trademark of All Cape Gynecology.

After this Dr. Lu decided to go back to her first love, which was direct patient care, specializing in women’s health. Dr. Lu completed Ob/Gyn residency training at the McGovern Medical School in Houston and Flushing Hospital Medical Center in New York. Dr. Lu enjoys combining both her clinical expertise and in-depth academic knowledge of her specialty to provide individualized and compassionate care to women of all ages.
