Kelly Cole has been working in women’s health her entire career. She graduated from Saint Louis University in 2000 and was thrilled to work as a labor and delivery nurse at OSF, providing the highest level of care in the roles of flight transport nurse and unit charge nurse. After earning her Masters of Science in Women’s Health from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2004, Kelly became a Nurse Practitioner in private practice. Working in various private practices in the Peoria area has given her the opportunity to gain experience treating women for various concerns, as well as providing preventive health to maximize women’s health. Practicing radiography, Dr. Ubom didn’t feel like she was making the kind of impact on the lives of her patients that she wanted to, so she decided to redirect her career.
In 2007, Dr. Ubom moved to the United States to join her husband and decided to go to medical school. She completed her pre-medical studies and received another bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia. She then attended the historical Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, where she received her medical degree. She recently completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology from Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania. During her training, her research work received both departmental and network-wide awards for the best research project. She also received the Society for Academic Specialists in Obstetrics and Gynecology Resident Excellence Award.
Dr. Ubom is trained in obstetrics, gynecology, and minimally invasive surgery. She finds fulfillment in troubleshooting and solving complex medical issues alongside her patients. She loves to connect with her patients during office and hospital visits and is always happy to provide them with the highest level of care.
When she is not working, Dr. Ubom loves to spend time with her family, her husband, and her four children, as well as with friends. She also loves to make new friends, cook, read, garden, and shop.
With more than 40 years of experience working with women in all life stages, Carlos Cardenas, MD, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist serving people in San Antonio, Texas. He provides a wide range of gynecology services, focusing on menopause management, preventive services and well-woman exams, and minimally invasive surgeries.
He completed an internship at Roxborough Memorial Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and his residency training at Drexel University College of Medicine (formerly Hahnemann Medical College) in Philadelphia. Dr. Cardenas is a co-founder of the Institute for Women’s Health, the largest OB/GYN and fertility practice in South Texas.
Dr. Cardenas is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists, Texas Medical Association, and Bexar County Medical Society. He is also on the Board of Directors of the Methodist Ambulatory Surgical Center.
To better serve more patients, Dr. Cardenas is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
Erin Manglardi, MD, MPH, is an OB/GYN practicing at Premier OB-GYN, located in Maitland, Oviedo, Lake Mary and Winter Park, Florida. She is originally from Orlando, Florida, and is overjoyed to return to work in her hometown.
Dr. Manglardi is a local graduate of Lake Howell High School and stayed close to home while attending the University of Central Florida, earning her degree in Health Sciences from the Burnett Honors College. She then traveled to St. George’s University and received a dual MD degree alongside a Master of Public Health. Following medical school, she finally made it back to Florida and completed her OB/GYN residency in Gainesville, Florida, serving as Chief Resident in her final year.
The residency was an extra special time as she was able to deliver hundreds of babies, including two of her own! Her husband, Joe, and two boys, Michael and Luca, keep her very busy when she’s not at work. As a family, they love spending time at the beach whenever they can. They love watching their boys grow up in the place they both have always called home.
Dr. Manglardi is excited to take care of women throughout all stages and has a specific interest in obstetrics and robotic surgery. Obstetrics and gynecology has always been so rewarding for her, and she cannot wait to grow as a physician at Premier OB-GYN.
